PINK SATURDAY, AUG. 6, 2011

Hello and welcome to another Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound. Thank you Beverly for hosting this fun event.

Another hot week here in WV. I've been busy getting packed up for our beach vacation. Were going to Lewes, Delaware. Can't wait to put my feet in the sand!

This week I stopped at an antique mall after my Dr. appointment and got this cute little planter that I will make into a pincushion.

Isn't she just the sweetest? I could not resist buying her. I'm gonna bling her up a bit, where the metalic gold is I think I will put some gold glitter.

Next I picked up this cute little vintage Avon kitten pomander. It really has a pleasent scent. I thought the box was as cute as the pomander.

I also picked up these two little perfume bottle girls from Avon. Perfume still in the bottle and they smell wonderful. I love the older scents from Avon much better than the new ones. Alot of the new fragrances today are too Tutti Fruttie for me.

I thought this one was so sweet!

I went to a card making party this week and made the four cards below. The victorian screen door was a request from me, I think she did a wonderful job in designing this card.

I picked this pretty picture up from a thrift store for twenty five cents. I love the print, they are holding a birds nest as you can see in the close up. This print is from Italy. Love it!

Thank you so much for stopping by, it was great to visit with you. I will be posting from the road for the next two weeks. I'll try and get some pink pics on my travels.

Hello and Happy Pink Saturday. Thank you Beverly for hosting this fun event!

I hope you all had a wonderful week, it was a hot one here. Just no letting up with this heat. I'm so glad were getting rain now and then otherwise our gardens would be burning up.

Today for my "pink" I have this pretty Alma Lynn print that I keep in my sewing room. She is a wonderful artist and has done alot of cross stitch designing.

A few close ups.

Thank you so much for stopping by, it was nice to visit with you.

PINK SATURDAY, JULY 23, 2011

Hello and welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound. Thank you Beverly for hosting this fun event.

My pink today is my Stargazer Lily's that are in bloom now in my garden. Oh my what a scent when you walk out onto the porch. Heavenly!!!!!

Below is a white lily that has bloomed in my garden, it's about four foot tall and I don't know what type of Lily it is since I only purchase Stargazer's this must have been marked wrong. It's a very pretty lily and the scent is wonderful.

Our sunflowers reseeded from last year in the veggie garden and they are about 7 foot tall, just beautiful.

Another stargazer.

My mandevilla vine is doing great in the heat we have been having these past few weeks. It's been so hot you can't even set out on the porch. I don't remember ever being in heat like this in my life.

Below I have a little market tote, chair pin cushion and scissors fob that I made for my quilt guild swap.

I will make just about anything into a pincushion, LOL. This was a little picture frame lawn chair, it was hot pink, I painted it red to match the sewing room fabric then made the little pillow to use as the pincushion.

I cross stitched the little Southern Belle then made her into a little scissor fob for polka dot scissors.

A close up of the fabric, what a cute print this is!

Well that's it for another Pink Saturday, I've been so busy doing projects around the house, don't know where the summer went. Were getting ready to go on a little vacation then by the time we get home it will be time to go back to school. I hope you all have a wonderful week.

PINK SATURDAY, JULY 16, 2011

Hello and welcome to another Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound.

I hope you all had a great week, it's been really hot here. Too hot to do much outside. Early in the morning and later in the evening is about all you can get outside to do anything. I'm not complaining though especially after the long cold winter we just had.

Today for my pink I have some pretty pink and blue hydrangea from my garden. I love these soft colors!

A pic of a hydrangea in the garden.

Below I have a pretty blingey hair clip that I picked up when we were in Chicago at my Grandson's Navy graduation. The picture does not do it justice, it's so pretty in person.

Thank you so much for stopping by, it was so nice to visit with you. I hope you all have a wonderful week!

PINK SATURDAY, JULY 9, 2011

Hello and welcome to another Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound!

I hope you all had a nice 4th of July. Ours was very nice, we cooked out on the grill and our kids and grandkids stopped by. It was a very nice and relaxing weekend.

Today for my pink I have these pretty pink roses that I picked up in Walmart. I can not get over how real they look. They are perfect for this pretty vintage vase that I purchased last week at an Antique Mall. You never know where you will find something pretty and pink! LOL

Next I have this pretty plate (below), a pretty thrift store find for 25 cents. I love it, the center flowers are worn off so I use it on my craft table to hold supplies. I could not get over how pretty the border is on this plate. I've never seen anything like this before.

Look what I found at Rite aid, a pretty pink tape measure. How cute!

Lovin my July Gooseberry Patch calendar.

My sewing room calendar is very pretty too this month.

Thank you so much for stopping by it was great to visit with you. Have a wonderful week!
