PINK SATURDAY OCT. 23, 2010

Hello and welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound. If you stop by to visit her you can get a list of all the other participants. Thank you Beverly for hosting this fun event.

Today I just had to show you this pretty calendar that I purchased for my sewing room. I am redecorting it now in a pink cottage look. I can't wait to get it finished and get everything organized.

This calendar has paintings by Sandy Lynam Clough, she is a favorite artist of mine. Below are a few of my favorites in the calendar.

Next I wanted to show you these pretty coasters that I purchased for my sewing room, they are also artwork by Sandy Clough.
I hope to have a little sitting area in front of the fireplace in my new sewing room so these will be perfect.

I just had to share these pictures with you, I had just finished making these tier curtains made from green 30's repo fabric and when I stood back I just loved the look of the pears on the windowsil. My kitchen has 4 windows like this one.
The ivory Cape Cods are very old and are from a Penny's catalog.

Last weekend my husband and I went to Lowes and this was our view. Just minutes from our farm. I could not resist taking some pics of this beautiful view. We are having a very pretty fall in WV.

Well that's it for another Pink Saturday, thank you so much for stopping by. It was so nice to visit with you! Have a wonderful week!
Blessings, Shirl

PINK SATURDAY OCT. 16, 2010

Hello and welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound. Thank you so much Beverly for hosting this fun event.

Today for my pink I have this pretty vintage needlepoint pillow that I purchased at a Flea Market years ago. I just love the sweet look of this kitties face, the back and cording are in a very soft velvet. I kept the same filling because it so soft and fluffy!

Here is my pillow in a small guest bedroom in my home, I'm planning to redo this bedroom in yellow and pink. Not sure if the pillow will fit in that look, might have to find a new place for it.

My dauther Jen of Jens Petal Palace painted this pumpkin for me several years ago. I love it and look forward to bringing it out every fall.

Above is a pretty little needleroll that I made for a blogging friend several years ago.

Thank you so much for stopping by, it was so nice to visit with you.
Have a wonderful weekend!

PINK SATURDAY, OCT. 9, 2010

Hello and welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound. If you go to visit her you can get a list of all the other participants. Thank you Beverly for hosting this fun event.
Just a little pink in this picture, my daughter saw this fabric on ebay about three years ago, I bought it so I could surprise her with something made from it. I finally got something made up using it this past week. I made her and I this cute little heart for Halloween. I hope she will like it.

Next for my pink I have my pretty Crepe Myrtle shrub, we purchased this in the Outer Banks of NC and were really pushing the zones here in growing it in WV. Eight years growth and it's still only about 3 foot tall, finally got our first flowering out of it this year. Maybe it will start doing a better now.

It's starting to look like fall around here at this old house. I'll leave you with a few pics of my fall decorating.

Below is a pic of my sweet little Angel.

Thank you so much for stopping by, it was so nice to visit with you and I hope you have a wonderful week. I'm thrilled to have a long weekend, no school Monday. Yeah!

PINK SATURDAY

Hello and welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound.
Today for my pink I have this pretty little embroidery that I did over the summer and finally got it finished up.
I finished it using a vintage repo 30's print fabric.

A few closeups.

Some great new magazines to read this weekend. Hopefully! I've got a busy one planned so I hope to get to my new magazines.

I still enjoy the Country Sampler magazine even though I decorate in Cottage these days.

Cath Kidston sewing book, can't wait to get into this one.

Victoria Magazine I love! I have every issue they have ever published.

I bought this new magazine last week from Char at Someplace in Thyme. Love it Char!

Char also sent me this adorable card and pretty little tags. Love them Char, thank you so much!

Thank you so much for stopping by. It was so nice to visit with you!
