PINK SATURDAY & HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Hello and Happy Halloween!
I hope everyone had a nice day and enjoyed all the Trick-or-Treaters!
Below is a pic of Frankie, my sisters sweet kitty, he is wishing you a Happy Halloween! Frankie is no longer with us but we enjoy his picture every year at this time. He had some problems at birth and his teeth are really this way.

His Mommy is also wishing you a Happy Halloween, her name is Teddy Bear AKA Prissy. As you can see she is primping in the mirror. You can see more cute pet pics on my sisters web site. Rose Hart Gifts.

My sweet Angel is wishing you a Happy Halloween Too!

We don't get Trick-or-Treaters where we live out in the country but I do get some candy for my grandsons and I made them some chocolate cupcakes with buttercream frosting. Do these look pink? No their orange, well such a pale orange that they look pink! The boys did not care there used to pink around here with me and their Mom!

Now on to some pinkness, then I have some Halloween Decorating pics for you to enjoy.

Welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound.
I'm so happy to show you my newest creation, sweet lollies to accent your faux pasteries! Their are offered on my selling blog Shirl's Velvet Attic.

The ones below are done with silk ribbon embroidery and crystal beads.
These are done with a pretty white swirl.

I'm so happy with the wallpaper border below that I got for one of my guest bedrooms. This is the one I've talked about before that will be decorated in a Teatime-Cupcake theme. I first saw this in an Australian Decorating and Craft Magazine. Took me 2 years to finally find it. Perfect for my decortaing theme. The room has shelves around 2 walls and I will be painting to top half pink and the bottom will be white wainscoting. Under the shelfs I will be hanging my vintage aprons from pink depression glass knobs.

Look how sweet the little rose doilies are under the shakers and throughout the border. I just love this!

My lily's from last week are still going strong. I've cut them back a little and now in a small pink and white pitcher and bowl.

I love this little set, I love how it has the pink flowers are on the inside of the bowl. Alot of time their are just plain inside.

A cute little pink and red strawberry shortcake quilt that I made for a little girl that we are helping in my charity blog, Stitches of Love.
That's it for my pinkness this week.
Now I would love to share with you some of my fall decorating. In the fall I decorate with three different theme's, first I do "back to school" which many of you saw in my header in Sept., then I go on to Halloween, then Thanksgiving.
I've shown you pics of my porch, outside out-and-about on my farm and now here's some of the inside of my home. My foyer is where I do alot of my seasonal decorating. Below is my foyer all decked out for Halloween. This old house is still under construction so please excuse any evidence of unfinished projects. Our foyer is a nice good size which allows me to decorate.
Be sure to click on the pic to get a good large closeup!

I'll just let you scroll through and browse around! Enjoy!

My daughter Jen of Jen's Petal Palace painted me this pretty pumpkin several years ago.

Come on into my Country Victorian kitchen.

Some pics of the island, which I had wanted for years. Hubby finally got that built this year.

My daughter Jen sent these faux pasteries up with my grandsons tonight. Thanks Jen!

My hubby put theses cabinets under all 4 windows for plants and stuff, they come in very handy for decorating as you can see, they are also a good place for cookbooks and tablecovers and such. I'm in the process of changing all the handles to vintage jadeite ones.

I collect brooches and here's my Halloween ones. They are crystal so they have alot of bling!!!!!!

The next several pics are things that I made this year, first is my polka-dot pumpkin, which I saw in a Paula Dean Magazine.

I saw a bracelet like this in a high end gift catalog for over $200.00, out of my budget! I got a photo frame from my book club for $9.99, got out my vintage postcards and made this for myslef. Look how cute!

A few before and after pics, these ornaments I bought on sale last year, they are done in black glitter.

After putting them on my black feather tree you can't really see them well. So I got out some orange glitter and~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Now they show up nicely!
This project I printed the directions from Martha Stewart web-site three years ago and finally got around to making it. Here's the pumpkins before~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

And here they are after!

A little Halloween decorative gift bag.

A little cross stitch pillow, I love working on this large count fabric, can't see the tiny counts anymore! LOL

I bought the kit to make this wreath at Goodwill last winter. This was fun to make using vintage postcards.

A cute little cross stitch done with thread, buttons and beads.
Just a few of my "back to school decorations". I love back to school things so when I sold my Cross Stitch shop before moving to WV alot of the shop models had to come with me.

Now that was a long post! Thank you so much taking the time to look. I hope you enjoyed. I'll have Thanksgiving out soon.
Blessings, Shirl
