BLUE MONDAY

Hello and welcome to Blue Monday hosted by Sally of Smiling Sally. Thank you Sally for hosting this fun event. If you go to visit her you can get a list of all the other participants.

Look at these sweet little figurines (above) that I purchased at a book store in an outlet mall.

Even sweet from the back. I think there's enough blue in them to count for a Blue Monday post.

Thank you so much for stopping by! It was so nice to visit with you. Have a great week!

PINK SATURDAY

Hello and welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet The Sound. Thank you Beverly for hosting this fun event, if you stop by to see her you can get a list of all the other participants.

Today I thought I'd show you my recent flea market finds. Love these blue mason jars and only $2.00 each! (above)

I love these pretty egg vases, this is my third one that I have bought.

Look how sweet this china basket is! I fell in love as soon as I saw it, Her arm is broken but I'm going to glue a little bouquet of ribbon roses with ribbons streaming down and you'll never see that it's broken.

Look how sweet her face is. All my favorite things, baskets, lilacs, roses and victioran dolls.

Samplers are another thing that I collect, I thought this one was adorable.

Thank you so much for stopping by, it was so nice to visit with you. I will be back Monday with a Blue Monday post.

THE WONDERFUL WIZARD OF OZ GALA & PINK SATURDAY

Hello and Welcome to The Wonderful Wizard of Oz Gala hosted byTwyla and Lindsey of Two Crazy Crafters. If you go to their blog you can get a list of the other participants.
The Wizard of Oz movie holds so many wonderful memories for me. When I was growing up the movie was usually shown once a year on TV during the winter. It was always a special and fun time in our home. We looked forward to it for weeks. My Mother would always make us special snacks, sometimes even buy us some Coca cola. That was a real treat back than, not something you had everyday. All four of us would watch it, my father used to love to listen to Judi Garland sing. My sister and I would cry! LOL I'm such a homebody and always felt "There is no place like home."

I made a banner to celebrate this occasion, the first of this type for me. Don't look to close! LOL Just kidding you can click on the pic and get a good look if you want.

This is also Pink Saturday with Beverly of How Sweet the Sound so this is my pink. If you go to vist Beverly you can get a list of the other paticipants. ~~~~~~Surprise to my daughter Jen, she gets the banner, Enjoy Jen!~~~~~~

Next for this fun gala I have to show you these ornaments that I made back in the 70's not to many years after I was married. I had made the whole set but don't know what happened to the rest over the years.

Next for some pinkness and still thinking of Oz, I found this pretty dresser scarf at an antique mall. She reminded of The Good Witch.

Thank you to Twyla and Lindsey for hosting this fun event. Also a big thank you to Beverly for hosting Pink Saturday every week. I'll be back on Monday for a Blue Monday post. Stop back if you can!

BLUE MONDAY

Hello and welcome to Blue Monday hosted by our sweet Sally of Smiling Sally. If you visit her you can get a list of all the participants.

Above is a pic of our delish tomatoes fresh from the garden in a pretty blue bowl. We look forward to these every summer, nothing like a fresh grown tomato!

Next for my blueness I have a cabinet that my hubby picked up from the curb. I needed a little cabinet of some sort to put next to the pedistal sink in my guest bathroom. I love the pedistal sinks but they do not give you the much needed vanity space.

A little sanding~~~~prime coat of paint~~~~~~white semi gloss trim paint~~~~a little more sanding~~~~pretty repo depression glass hardware~~~~now look how pretty!!!!!!
It's off to work for me this week! I took a job at the Catholic School as a teacher's assistant for 4th and 5th grades. I'm looking forward to working with the children. I've been away from it for awhile but I'm sure I will get right back in the groove! I have the best hours though 8 to 11, Mon. thru Fri. Can't beat that. I'll still have time for all my hobbies and blogging (thank goodness)! Then summer's, nights, weekends, holidays and snow days off.

No blue here but I just had to share my beautiful sunflowers with you. They are over 12 foot high this year. Must be the type of seed we bought this year. I've always loved sunflowers, while I was growing up I lived in Kansas and a fun thing my family did was to take a ride to look at the fields of sunflowers! Such a dear memory!

Thank you so much for stopping by, it was so nice to visit with you. Have a great week!

PINK SATURDAY

Hello and welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by our sweet Beverly of How Sweet the Sound. If you go to her blog you can get a list of the many participants.

It's off to work for me next week!

Now on to my pinkness! Today I'd like to show you another Flea Market find. I got this entire set of china for $15.00. The plates to the left with larger roses were not included, they were $1.00 each. I'll show a close up of them next week.

A few closeups. There's only 5 place settings, that's an odd number but I love it just the same. I might be able to find more pieces to go with it.

Pink and blue on white, my favorite colors!

Markings on the bottom. Does anyone know if this would be the name of the pattern or the maker? I'd like to find some on ebay but don't know the name.

Thank you so much for stopping by, it was so nice to visit with you. I'll be back on Monday with a Blue Monday post.

BLUE MONDAY

Hello and welcome to Blue Monday hosted by Sally of Smiling Sally.

Today for some blue I have these pretty teal suede brand new Thrift Store find for 25 cents. Great buy huh? They are my daughter Jen's size. I have not given them to her yet so she will be surprised when she visits my blog. I thought they would be so cute with a pair of wool dress slacks or dress jeans.

Next I have found these pretty vintage blue plates in another Thrift store for only a dime each.

My friend Connie over at Living Beautifully sent me this pretty (hand painted by her), little painting of all my favorite things, a birds nest with eggs, roses, lilacs and on a blue background. Thank you so much Connie this was so sweet of you! I will treasure it always.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you have a wonderful week.

PINK SATURDAY

Hello and welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound. If you go to visit her you can get a list of all the other participants.

Above is a picture of the pretty little tray that I purchased from my friend Celeste from Celestina Marie Designs. Her work is just stunnning and I'm so thrilled with this purchase. I bought it for the room that it's pictured in here but I had to bring it back downstairs so I could look at it everyday. Much to pretty to leave upstairs. LOL

I just love birdnests with eggs so this just called out to me!

Look how pretty Celeste wrapped it, also enclosed was a hand painted card.

Celeste also sent me this adorable pink cupcake ornament. Perfect for my teatime/cupcake guest bedroom. (I will be posting that room soon I promise) Pretty recipes cards and yummy herbal tea's.

Some pretty pink wildflowers that I picked when my husband and I went for a walk through the farm one evening.

Thank you so much for stopping by it was so much fun to visit with you. I will be back on Monday with a Blue Monday post.
