PINK SATURDAY

Hello and welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound. If you go to her blog you can get a list of all the other participants.
Above I have a pic of a delish white coconut cake that I made for a little treat for Bible Study this week. I have to say it was sooooo good! My friends loved it The pretty vintage cake tin my daughter Jen hand painted for me years ago. It's very handy for taking cakes to places outside the house because it has a bracket that clamps around it for carrying.

I thought I would show you some of my Easter decorations this week since they have alot of pink in them. Above is a pic of the chair in my foyer, closeup below.

A few closeups of my Easter tree.

The cute little bunny cross stich picture below was a gift from my friend Steph at Angelic Accents. Thank you Steph, I was so happy when I pulled this out of the box this week I had forgotten all about it.
Thank you so much for stopping by it was so nice to visit with you. I'm making some new things for Easter this year so maybe I will have them done to show you next week. I will be back on Monday for a Blue Monday post so stop back when you have time. Have a great weekend and enjoy looking at all the other Pink Saturday Posts.

BLUE MONDAY

Hello and welcome to Blue Monday hosted by Sally of Smiling Sally. If you go visit her you can get a list of all the other participants.
Today I'd like to share a blue gift that I made for my niece. She's expecting a baby boy in April. She has two girls so is so excited about having a boy this time.

I made her an altered art box to hold all babies firsts. Added some vintage images, millinery, buttons, lace, glitter and ribbons.

I put a piece of blue fabric inside to wrap all the firsts in!
So that's it for my blue today. Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a great week!

PINK SATURDAY~GIFTS & OTHER MUSSINGS

Hello and welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound. If you stop by to see her you can get a list of all the other participants.
The pic above is a prettty pink cake for company stopping by.

The picture above is a pretty green basket of roses that a friend of mine sent to my husband and I this past week. She said she could not resist buying it for me because the pretty green basket reminded her of my jadeite dishes and the roses reminded her of the roses in every room of my home. So sweet of her to do this!

A few closeups.

Another gift from a friend this week was this pretty bunny bowl. Neither of these frineds of mine have a blog so I can't link you to them.

Also from her a pretty pink angel post it notes.

No pink here but I had to share this with you. My daughter Jen over at Jen's Petal Palace surprised me with this pretty crochet green cross this week. I put it right in my scripture study book, I needed a bookmark for that book, thank you so much Jen!

Lavender and a few touches of pink in this prettty tag that I made for a friend this past week.

Turns out the winner of my giveaway Miss Peach is a kitty. Look how sweet she looks unpacking her box. I included some kitty toys and treats for Miss Peach. How sweet she is. I even made her own tag for her!

She said her Mommy was so happy with all the pretty things!
She hung her ribbon embroidered hearts on her mantel with her other hearts. Look at how pretty they look in her home.

She took a beautiful closeup of my embroidery.
Turns out Miss Peach's mommy has a beautiful pitcher and bowl from Italy that matches the one I sent her perfectly. She has all her pretty tags in it from her blogging friends. Thank you Miss Peach for sharing all these pretty pics with me! Angel will be sending you some of her fresh out of the garden catnip this summer!

Thank you so much for stopping by, it was so nice to visit with you!

BLUE MONDAY & HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY!

Hello and welcome to Blue Monday hosted by Sally of Smiling Sally. Thank you Sally for hosting this fun event! If you go to her blog you can get a list of all the other participants.
Today for some blue I thought I would show you two banners that I have been working on. I'm moving my paper crafts to another guest bedroom that I have been redoing to allow more room in my sewing room. So I have been finishing up the projects that were in the making on that table.

The first one is done with a crushed velvet background, I used a vintage Victorian clip art, embellished with German Glass Glitter, lace and trims, millinery and a rhinestone at her neckline.

The second one was made from my Christmas card this year. Glitter and trims added to make this pretty one.

Happy St. Patricks Day!
I have a few of my St. Patricks Day decorations to wish in the holiday for you!
This cute little pin, my daughter Jen of Jen's Petal Palace made for me about 16 years ago. She cross stitched it then put several coats of a decopage glue on it to get it hard then cut it out and put a pin on the back.

Some closeups of tree ornaments. A few banners I made this year.

Some cross stitch that I did years ago.

Silk ribbon embroiderd hearts.

A cross stitch sachet.

I made some faux sugar cookies the fill the gaps in this tree. My first year for a St. Patricks Day tree!

A cute little kitty green vase I thought perfect for St. Patricks.

A pillow made using vintage clip art.

A very pretty Victorian Lady!
A picture of my kitty Beans who passed away 7 years ago. She was a sweetie and I still miss her. She had her picture taken for every holiday and helped me on my ebay auctions 8 years ago. She had quite a following and got lots of fan mail! She wished everyone "Happy Bidding"

Another pillow using vintage clip art and Holly Hobbie all dressed in green.
A little mini quilt I made in cross stitch using all different types of threads and buttons.

I wish a very Happy St. Patricks Day!
Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful week!
Bless you, Shirl
