PINK SATURDAY, JULY 30, 2011

Hello and Happy Pink Saturday. Thank you Beverly for hosting this fun event!

I hope you all had a wonderful week, it was a hot one here. Just no letting up with this heat. I'm so glad were getting rain now and then otherwise our gardens would be burning up.

Today for my "pink" I have this pretty Alma Lynn print that I keep in my sewing room. She is a wonderful artist and has done alot of cross stitch designing.

A few close ups.

Thank you so much for stopping by, it was nice to visit with you.

PINK SATURDAY, JULY 23, 2011

Hello and welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound. Thank you Beverly for hosting this fun event.

My pink today is my Stargazer Lily's that are in bloom now in my garden. Oh my what a scent when you walk out onto the porch. Heavenly!!!!!

Below is a white lily that has bloomed in my garden, it's about four foot tall and I don't know what type of Lily it is since I only purchase Stargazer's this must have been marked wrong. It's a very pretty lily and the scent is wonderful.

Our sunflowers reseeded from last year in the veggie garden and they are about 7 foot tall, just beautiful.

Another stargazer.

My mandevilla vine is doing great in the heat we have been having these past few weeks. It's been so hot you can't even set out on the porch. I don't remember ever being in heat like this in my life.

Below I have a little market tote, chair pin cushion and scissors fob that I made for my quilt guild swap.

I will make just about anything into a pincushion, LOL. This was a little picture frame lawn chair, it was hot pink, I painted it red to match the sewing room fabric then made the little pillow to use as the pincushion.

I cross stitched the little Southern Belle then made her into a little scissor fob for polka dot scissors.

A close up of the fabric, what a cute print this is!

Well that's it for another Pink Saturday, I've been so busy doing projects around the house, don't know where the summer went. Were getting ready to go on a little vacation then by the time we get home it will be time to go back to school. I hope you all have a wonderful week.

PINK SATURDAY, JULY 16, 2011

Hello and welcome to another Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound.

I hope you all had a great week, it's been really hot here. Too hot to do much outside. Early in the morning and later in the evening is about all you can get outside to do anything. I'm not complaining though especially after the long cold winter we just had.

Today for my pink I have some pretty pink and blue hydrangea from my garden. I love these soft colors!

A pic of a hydrangea in the garden.

Below I have a pretty blingey hair clip that I picked up when we were in Chicago at my Grandson's Navy graduation. The picture does not do it justice, it's so pretty in person.

Thank you so much for stopping by, it was so nice to visit with you. I hope you all have a wonderful week!

PINK SATURDAY, JULY 9, 2011

Hello and welcome to another Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound!

I hope you all had a nice 4th of July. Ours was very nice, we cooked out on the grill and our kids and grandkids stopped by. It was a very nice and relaxing weekend.

Today for my pink I have these pretty pink roses that I picked up in Walmart. I can not get over how real they look. They are perfect for this pretty vintage vase that I purchased last week at an Antique Mall. You never know where you will find something pretty and pink! LOL

Next I have this pretty plate (below), a pretty thrift store find for 25 cents. I love it, the center flowers are worn off so I use it on my craft table to hold supplies. I could not get over how pretty the border is on this plate. I've never seen anything like this before.

Look what I found at Rite aid, a pretty pink tape measure. How cute!

Lovin my July Gooseberry Patch calendar.

My sewing room calendar is very pretty too this month.

Thank you so much for stopping by it was great to visit with you. Have a wonderful week!

A VERY PINK 4TH OF JULY! JULY 2, 2011

Hello and welcome to a Very Pinky 4th of July Pink Saturday! Be sure to stop by and visit Beverly of How Sweet the Sound to get a link to all the other participants. Thank you Beverly for hosting this fun event.

I'm wishing you all a peaceful, fun and wonderful 4th of July and a very Happy Canada Day too!

Not much planned for us, hubby and I will probably just cook something up on the grill and enjoy and nice quiet day on the porch. We are busy planning our summer vacation, were planning a trip to Lewes, Deleware. Has anyone ever been there? It appears to be nice and alot of historical sites to visit there.

I would like to take this time to thank all of our brave military for serving and keeping us safe and sound.

We are so proud of our son Bob who is serving in the Army Nat'l Guard and our grandson Joe who is serving in the US Navy. Joe is doing well in dental school in San Diago, he's in the top of his class and should be headed to the East Coast in Sept. We will be able to visit him often when he's there.
Our hero Bob, so blessed that he made it home safe and sound from Afghanistan.

Our handsome sailor.

A pretty pink pitcher that I picked up at an antique mall this week. I got some other cute things which I will post about later.

A yummy lemon cake that I made for my Scripture Study covered dish lunch this week.

My cute little kitties relaxing on the well by the porch. We fill that green bowl with ice cold water from the well and they love it.

Pretty pink flowers on the porch.

Thank you so much for stopping by, it was so nice to visit with you. I wish you much happiness on this 4th of July!
