BLUE MONDAY

Hello and welcome to Blue Monday hosted by our sweet Sally of Smiling Sally. If you visit her you can get a list of all the participants.

Above is a pic of our delish tomatoes fresh from the garden in a pretty blue bowl. We look forward to these every summer, nothing like a fresh grown tomato!

Next for my blueness I have a cabinet that my hubby picked up from the curb. I needed a little cabinet of some sort to put next to the pedistal sink in my guest bathroom. I love the pedistal sinks but they do not give you the much needed vanity space.

A little sanding~~~~prime coat of paint~~~~~~white semi gloss trim paint~~~~a little more sanding~~~~pretty repo depression glass hardware~~~~now look how pretty!!!!!!
It's off to work for me this week! I took a job at the Catholic School as a teacher's assistant for 4th and 5th grades. I'm looking forward to working with the children. I've been away from it for awhile but I'm sure I will get right back in the groove! I have the best hours though 8 to 11, Mon. thru Fri. Can't beat that. I'll still have time for all my hobbies and blogging (thank goodness)! Then summer's, nights, weekends, holidays and snow days off.

No blue here but I just had to share my beautiful sunflowers with you. They are over 12 foot high this year. Must be the type of seed we bought this year. I've always loved sunflowers, while I was growing up I lived in Kansas and a fun thing my family did was to take a ride to look at the fields of sunflowers! Such a dear memory!

Thank you so much for stopping by, it was so nice to visit with you. Have a great week!
Bless you, Shirl

I enjoyed seeing your makeover with all the touches of blue. That color just cheers up white, doesn't it? When we went to Italy, we saw mile after mile of sunflowers; oh, how beautiful it was! Have fun at school. Happy Blue Monday.

WHat a cute transformation, love the blue handles. My, your sunflower is amazing. I planted some this year, and the tops got so heavy, they started looking at the ground, yours are beautiful. Have a great Blue Monday.

Shirl, that little cabinet is adorable! I love how you trimmed it out with the blue glass knobs & drawer pulls. So great that your hubby saw the potential in it! Mine won't even let me slow down when we pass something by the side of the road!!

Hope your work-week goes wonderfully for you. You will be such a great & patient helper to the children!

Love you,

Hi Shirl, WOW what a gorgeous makeover for your guest bathroom. You are so right pedestal sinks don't have any storage areas. I have one too, but can't fit a chest or I would try. This is beautiful. I love the blue accents on it too.
Your sunflowers are beautiful!!
Have fun on your new position with school. You can't beat the hours and all the school days off.
I am on vacation this week but a staycation at home doing odd jobs.
See you when I am back in the studio.
Loveya, Celestina Marie

Your cabinet came out wonderfully! I love the new look!

I also love fresh tomatoes. I have been having the hardest time finding good tomatoes at the grocery store!

I was SO LATE in planting my sunflowers. They look like sickly twigs right now. I'm impressed at how tall yours are.

take care,
Dawn

I love your blue Monday post! The tomatoes look wonderful in the blue pottery. And your sunflowers are beautiful. I buy them a lot from a local farm stand for $6 a bunch (4-bunch).

Enjoy!

Congratulations on your new job! What a fun and rewarding job. You gotta love a freebie by the road, so cute. I LOVE tomatoes. We got back a few days ago from a week in Georgia and I had tomato pie there, YUMMY. I came home and have already made one, and tonight it's fried green tomatoes : ) I hope you have a beautiful day.

Kathy
