Pink Saturday

Hello and Welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound.

I'm out of town on a road trip but posted this before I left, if my post options took then you will be reading this! Hopefully it did! This week I made a few things and of course they were in pink so I thought I would show them to you today.

This tote below is made from a cross stitch that I had done years ago, the artist is Paula Vaughn. I just love all of her Victorian Designs! Be sure to click on the pic so you can get a larger view!

Another one that I made using a teddy bear cross stitch then I made the tote using 1930's repo print fabric.

Yoyo's are something that I love so I made a little cluster to embellish the tote with.
Then used a vintage button with a little bling in the middle!

A few more things I made this week, a lavender sachet, victorian needleroll sachet and yoyo pin.
I got this adorable Susan Branch fabric and made a few little tea towels.

A closeup of the cute fabric.

I made this lampshade years ago, I saw one in a high end gift shop and came home and made myself one, also some flowers and herbs from my garden in the little jadeite flower pot.

My favorite flower that is blooming in my garden is the highly scented stargazer lily!

Another victorian needleroll sachet with fresh lavender.

A little dresser top that has some pink and alot of things that I love.

Well that's it for my Pink Saturday Post, I hope you enjoyed, have a great week and stop back again.
Blessings, Shirl

ROAD TRIP, AWARDS & TAG

Hello and welcome, we are getting packed up and off on a road trip. We just bought a new truck and need to get it broken in before we go to the beach in Sept. and pull our boat. We have been wanting to go to Gettysburg, Pa. for sometime now so we thought we would go there and then make our way to NJ to visit family & friends. I've got my totes all packed with plenty of needlwork and of course good things to read.

I've tucked in my totes all the good reads that came in the mail this week, the one below is published in Austrilia giving you so many great ideas for crafts, decorating and sewing. I get quite a few of the Australian magazines, they have wonderful ideas for needlework, crafts and decorating.

Romantic Homes and Romantic Country are two magazines that I also enjoy reading!

The late summer and early fall mail order catalogs are also starting to come in so I tucked my favorite of them in my tote.

Gooseberry Patch is a long time favorite of mine, I get most of my quilted tablecovers for my kitchen table from them. MaryJanes Farm is a magazine that I have recently started to buy. This is my second issue and I love it.
So I'm all packed up and ready to hit the road hoping to find some interesting gift shops, antique stores, flea markets and wonderful historical sites. Then on to see loved ones. I'll be back Monday and will post pics of my trip and treasures.
I'VE BEEN TAGGED!

4. I love flip flops and have them in every color, bling, fuzzy, terry, plaids and satin!
5. In the winter I wear soft comfy fleecy sweatsuits around the house but the top and bottom have to match in color, have no stripes down the sides and when they get nubbies inside they get tossed in the trash!

Now I tag.
