TEA PARTY

Hello and welcome to my Tea Party hosted by Jan & Tom's Place. Please feel free to click on the
pictures to get a close up. If you have time scroll down and look at my vacation post at Gettysburg, Pa. I'm sure you will enjoy!

I made an apple cake with maple frosting, doesn't it look yummy!

I also made some dark chocolate cupcakes with a touch of green frosting and dusted
with light green sugar.

I thought we would use my mini teasets this time since you have not seen them
before.

My sister sent me the prevous teaset and this blue one. She used to own a wonderful
Victorian gift shop before she retired.

Another pretty pink set.

This is my favorite teapot, my first grandson bought me this for me for Christmas when he was five years old. He picked it out himself at his school Christmas Shopping Store. He will be 18 in November, a senior this year, then off to collage. It's hard to believe, I can still remember the first time I held him!

Look how sweet these little tree ornament tea sets are. I found them where we vacation in the Outer Banks of NC.

Well I hope you enjoyed my little tea party, be sure to stop by Jan & Tom's to get a list of the others that are having a party today! If you have time scroll down and take a look at my vacation post.
Blessings, Shirl

Hi Shirl,

Love the pink tea set the best...just lovely. I live in MI actually, we went to PA while we were driving to NH, where I grew up. So we are not that close to Gettysburg, but I do plan on going as soon as we can.

Have a great day, Lynne

Your tea sets are so sweet! And the tea pot from your grandson is as sweet as the story behind it. I don't have grandchildren yet, just granddogs, so I love to read the "grandchildren posts" from other bloggers!

Hi again, Shirl! Thanks for coming to my tea party. Oh, I know, those treasured pieces from our ancestors mean more and more as we grow older. I'm thinking about taking a journal and going thru the house and telling about family pieces and giving the history. One day our things will be passed down and what a shame to throw something out knowing nothing about it. Oh, Miss Chloe Dawn, the girly girl that she is, doesn't like teas! So she just refuses to come!

Hi Shirl! I am Sherry from Sherrysrosecottage. I love reading your blog, you make it so interesting and fun. Just wanted to let you know that I have the same little mini teasets like the ones you have. I thought it was so funny that you displayed them the same way as me instead of hanging them on the Christmas tree!! I guess great "pink" minds think alike!! hugs, Sherry
