PINK SATURDAY

Hello and welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound. If you visit her blog you can get a list of all the other participants. Thank you so much Beverly for hosting this fun event.

Today I thought I'd show you a pretty picture of the Liberty Bell that I purchased at an antique mall. I was so intrigued by this, it has sort of a hazy mist to it, almost like the picture was painted in a room full of smoke or maybe it's supposed to be the sun glaring in through the windows. It appears to be very old, I painted the frame white to give it a shabby cottage look.

I love her pink cape and pretty layers in her dress. I'm not even sure where I'm going to hang this picture, it just had to come home with me.
I have been having wireless computer problems all week and spent alot of time on the phone with tech help with still no wireless internet. I was not able to look at many blogs last week but hope to get to visit you all this week. I miss not being able to carry my laptop out to the porch and kitchen looking at blogs in between doing housekeeping and gardening. Hopefully I can get to the bottom of this soon. We do get spoiled with all the technology don't we?
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week and wonderful Father's Day!
Bless you, Shirl

Beautiful painting, Shirl. It almost looks like the people are in a dream! I do love the colors and I can see why you had to have it!

Sorry about your computer problems. Everyone has them once in awhile. It's sort of like not having a phone!!

Have a great weekend, my friend!

Mom that pic is just beautiful.Thats a fav of mine too now.I remember when we were growing up and u and dad took us to see the liberty bell then we went to the Betsy Ross house.

I wonder if the satelites need to be up higher with all the trees bloomed on the mountain in front of the house and maybe there in the way of the signle stength.Ours looses strength after the trees bloom and had to be ajusted for tv anyway.Happy Pink sat.Love ya,Jen

Good morning Shirl, I think there are paintings that can be looked at for days and you continue to find more interesting things to catch the eye that you didn't notice before. I think your lovely painting is one of those. Very pretty and the colors are great. Happy Pink Saturday, Char

Shirl I sure wish you could get to the bottom of this mess. Have you tried asking the "tech" to speak to a supervisor? Then, ask for his supervisor?

Another thing that might work is to call the Sales division of the company, explain to someone there that the tech part is of no help and you need to speak to someone higher up in the tech dept. Oftentimes the sales folks know the right numbers!

Happy Pink Saturday!

This painting has such a different technique. I adore the misty, dreamy, foggy kind of look that it presents. Simply lovely Pink post! I will keep my fingers and toes crossed in hope that your internet problems will clear up and that you can use your laptop while sitting on your back porch.

The picture is beautiful, sort of like in a dream with the hazy look it has.....and the pink is so pretty. Sorry to hear about your computer problems and I hope you get it fixed soon.

some years back i had the opportunity of seeing the bell up close and personal.

While in its reality it is simply a metal casting... being in its presence humbled me.

The history and symbolism that it meant to our country left me in awe.

Thanks for sharing.
