PINK SATURDAY & BLUE MONDAY

Hello and welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound. Stop by to visit her and get a list of all the other participants.

Today I am doing a double post, I hope I'm not commiting a blogging crime! LOL It's just that I only get time to do one post a week and I have been missing out on Blue Monday so I'm doing both posts together. This gives me all week to visit other blogs.

Today for my pinkness I have a cute little teatime cross stitch that I did several years ago. I've framed it in a little frame that my daughter Jen painted for me. I'll be using this in my new pink guest bedroom that I hope to show you soon.

Thank you Beverly for hosting this fun event!

Blue Monday is hosted by Sally of Smiling Sally. If you go to visit her you can get a list of all the other participants. I've missed several weeks of posting in this event since I've started back to work this fall and I have missed chatting with all of you Blue Monday bloggers.

Today I have a blue tapestry to share with you. I found this beautiful winter tapestry in a Dollar Tree for $1.00. Isn't it a beautiful winter wonderland? I just love it. I'm not sure if I'm going to make it into a pillow or a quilted wall hanging.

Thank you all so much for stopping by, it was so nice to visit with you. I'm looking forward to all my pink and blue visits this week!
Blessings, Shirl

Oh Shirl!
Happy Pink Saturday sweetie. I so love this little frame that your daughter painted for you. They are always the best gifts of all. Thought was put into it, and it was given from the heart. I love homemade best of all. We all have a special talent of some sort to share with each other.

I also love blue, so this little tapestry is gorgeous. Don't we just find some of the most beautiful items in that store? L-O-V-E love it.

Have a wonderful Pink Saturday and Blue Monday. Please stop by and see my pink post. I would so love to share with you. Country hugs, Sherry

Hi Shirl, Isn't it amazing the bargains to be found at the dollar tree and similar stores. Ya just gotta know how to shop. I vote that you use the needlepoint this year as a wall hanging and make it into a pillow next year! Hugs, Mollye

Shirl, that cross stitch is adorable. I wish I were that talented. My cousin's wife is the one in our family who does that sort of pretty needlework, and I admire what you all do more than I can say.

Isn't the Dollar Tree fab? I can't believe all the neat things they have there, and I can't wait to see what you do with your tapestry. Can't believe you got it for a $1.00! They never cease to amaze me.

Happy Pink Saturday, my friend!

XO,

Sheila ... who sends love to Molly

HAPPY BELATED PINK SATURDAY SHIRL,
YOU REMIND ME SO MUCH OF MY DEAR FRIEND TAWNA. EVERYTHING IS BEAUTIFUL. I COULD ONLY HOPE I COULD FIND A TAPESTRY LIKE THAT AT THE DOLLAR TREE IN MY TOWN.
I USE TO LOVE TO CROSSTITCH UNTIL MY EYES GREW A LITTLE DIM.
THANK YOU FOR ALL THE PRAYERS FOR MY ONLY DAUGHTER BEFORE SHE DIED. SO MANY LEFT MESSAGES AT SHERRY'S BLOG BUT THEY WERE NOT FORWARDED ON. SHE IS BUSY WITH HER GREAT JOB SO SHE CAN ONLY CALL AND TALK WITH MOTHER AND DADDY AND SHE CAN'T LEAVE ME A POST BECAUSE SHE HAS TO GET NEW NUMBERS FOR HER BLOG.....MAYBE WE COULD START A FUND WHERE EVERYONE WOULD JUST COME AND JOIN HER BLOG AND THEN SHE MIGHT FIND TIME TO TALK TO HER ONLY SISTER WHO LOST HER ONLY DAUGHTER..YOU WOULD THINK WHEN YOU WERE IN GRIEF YOUR ONLY SISTER WOULD FIND A WORD FOR YOU...IT IS JUST VERY SAD TO ME....I'M GRIEVED

Hi, Shirl... I'm back by on the Blue Monday train to say, "Hi!" Still loving your needlework piece and still needing to go to the Dollar Tree to check ours out. If you see any dessert or salad plates with gold stars, please let me know. I'm on a hunt for some for a friend. Not sure they are to be found, but I'm looking all the same.

Happy Blue Monday...

XO,
