PINK SATURDAY DEC. 18, 2010

Hello and welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound! Thank you so much Beverly for hosting this fun event.

Today Beverly asked us to blog about our favorite Christmas music. The album "Holiday Sing Along with Mitch Miller" has been a favorite of mine for as long as I can remember. My father first bought this album when I was eight years old. He had just retired from the Air Force and we had just moved into our first home. A sweet little Cape Cod. Oh how I loved that house. It was gray with pink shutters. He loved this music and would sing right along with Mitch!!! LOL What fun memories these songs bring to me. It's now available in a CD. My daughter Jen even bought it, she remembers how much her Grandfather loved it. It can put you in the holiday mood with it's first song.

Next I have to share with you my aqua tree in my bedroom.

A few close ups.

A pretty little aqua angel on top.

Now on to my country kitchen tree decorated in vintage crochet potholders.

A cute little stove from Hallmark.

Faux hot chocolate that I made a few years ago.

Another cute Fridge ornament from Hallmark.

It even lights up, love the snowman in the freezer.

Thank you so much for stopping by, it was so nice to visit with you. I hope you have a wonderful week. A great two weeks at our home, my grandson is home for a two week leave from the Navy.
I wish you peace! Shirl

This is adorable! Especially the tree in the kitchen: I've never seen vintage pot holders before, what a wonderful idea! Next year, I'm having one - in fact, if the snow eases up (and in London it's so rare that everything has ground to a halt - it's snowing HARD) I shall get one NOW. Of course I'll have to cheat re pot holders, unfortunately. Never seem to find things like that here...

I also love your 'hot chocolate' decoration - and you made this yourself??? Any chance of a tutorial? Another one I really feel the need to try, lol

Happy Pink (snowy) Saturday!

I love your aqua tree, especially your tree skirt idea! I'm jealous of your angel. For years, I've seen those blue angels and looked in all the stores for one this year. Instead this year they were either white, gold, or jewel tones. Gives me an excuse to shop next year.

All your decorations are nice. I've never seen those Hallmark ones before, but they look so fun.

Happy Pink Saturday!
