I hope your Christmas is filled with peace, joy and happiness! Since Pink Saturday is on Christmas Beverly wanted us to post about our plans for the day.
My husband and I are planning a quiet day at home. I'm roasting a turkey breast and all the trimmings to go with it.
My son Bob is in Afghanistan and he called already, he's about 10 1/2 hours ahead of us so it was Christmas for him already. I am so happy to say that his unit is packing up already, he will start his journey home in the first part of Jan. and should be home here buy the first part of Feb. I'm not letting my guard down but I am just so darn excited to know that he will soon be out of that danger. I would feel so helpless if he were hurt or sick over there and I could not get over there to him. Anyway this sad year of his being deployed is almost over. I appreciate all your prayers and concern for him!

I have prayers each day for your son since I have meet you and you told us he was deployed in the war. I am grateful to know you have such a wonderful son to risk his own safety for so many strangers. I am so happy that your son is coming home! I hope you know how much I appreciate all he has done for our country and I will be glad when all our men and women are safely home! I know it is a necessary thing to keep our country safe, but it is such a sacrifice! I will keep him in my prayers for a safe trip home.
