Welcome to another Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound. Since Sunday is May Day I thought I would show my pretty little faux May Day cake that my daughter Jen made for me several years ago. I just love this sweet little cake. I can still remember my first May Day Celebration, I was 6 years old and it was at my church. We actually made a May-Pole much like the one on this cake. I can still close my eyes and smell the wonderful scent of all those beautiful flowers. Our chuch we attend now has started doing a May Procession and everyone is asked to bring a fresh flower to put on Mary's Alter. I look forward to it every year. When my sister and I were young we used to make paper cones out of doilies and fill them with fresh flowers then hang them on people's door knobs on May Day. What fun we used to have in those days!
