WEDDING PARTY & PINK SATURDAY

Hello and welcome to my Wedding Party hosted by my sweet friend Stephanie of Angelic Accents. This is the second year for Stephanie to host this fun event. It's always so much fun to look at wedding pictures.

I'm also linking up with Beverly's Pink Saturday because there's lots of pink in this post. Stop by to see Beverly to get a list of all the other participants.

The picture above is one of my wedding samplers that I cross stitched years ago and a pretty little tray that I purchased from a friend Judy.

Below is another wedding sampler that I cross stitched.

Our wedding picture, we married forty years ago this past Feb. 6th.

The page below is out of a scrapbook that my mother made for me. A clipping of my wedding gown that was in a wedding magazine.

My bridemaids were dressed in velvet (which I have always loved)fur muffs, hats.

Me putting on lipstick in front of my mother's mirror just before leaving for the church.

My flower girl and ring bearer.

Cutting our wedding cake.

My bouquet, I have always loved daisies so I had them with white roses.

Below is my parents wedding picture, they got married two days before Pearl Harbor was attacked.

Below is their wedding certificate, I'm so happy that I found this in my mother's things. I treasure it.

Below is my Aunt and Uncle's wedding picture. He was my Mother's brother and the only one in the family that had a big wedding. In those years and at the time of WWII not many people were having big weddings.

Thank you so much for stopping by to share in all the wedding fun. I enjoyed sharing my wedding pictures with you.

Have a wonderful week. Shirl

Hi Shirl,
I just love your cross stitch from your wedding that you did and the first pic too with the rose wedding tray. Just gorgeous.

Love seeing your wedding pics again and what a beautiful bride you were and handsome couple you and your love are.

Your dress is beautiful and I love your bouquet with the daisies added in.

Love the vintage pics too. My mother and dad married in 45 and could not afford a wedding or even pics taken. I do have their wedding certificate though and for that I am grateful.

Thank you for sharing your special day and more. I always enjoy my visits and seeing your creativity.

Have a great weekend.
XOXO Celestina Marie

Congrats on 40 years! That's wonderful! I loved your photos. The bridesmaids were so cute. Love the hair, the hats, and mitts. My daughter would probably love this. Vintage is all the rage now.

Hi Sweet Shirl! I'm sooo glad that you joined the Wedding Blog Party! I knew you would share such lovelies! LOVE that precious pic of your parents on their wedding day and think it is awesome that you have their marriage certificate ~ do you display it? I could see their framed photo in the pic where you are applying your lipstick, too! See, I enlarge EVERYTHING!! You and Ed look sooo happy! Love love love your cake and your bouquet. I used daisies in our wedding, too. I've told you before how much I love the way you dressed your bridesmaids ~ you had STYLE waaay back even in 1971!! I think it is wonderful that your mom saved the pic of your gorgeous gown from the magazine! Of course, I love the wedding samplers. The grandkids will treasure those some day!

My relatives have now left, so you know what I'll be doing the next few days!! I'm in heaven looking at all these terrific posts!

Love you,
Stephanie

Shirl,
I wanted to let you know that Matthew's plane landed in the USA just a little bit ago and he is home safely from Iraq. It has been such a long year, and I know that you know exactly what I am feeling right now. Thank you so much for all of your kindness and support.
Big hugs,
Kathy
