REST IN PEACE MOLLY, PINK SATURDAY JAN. 14, 2012

Hello and welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound.

I'm sorry I have not been in posting but our Molly has been so sick with a disease called Mega Esophagus. Saturday she died from the disease. Our poor girl fought so hard, she loved her life with us and just would not let go. About and hour before she died she kept looking up at the ceiling as if someone was calling her. I feel like the angels were telling her to cross over. I know she is in heaven now running and romping with our pets that passed before her. I know my Mother will take good care of her until I get there.

We are lost without her but we are so also releaved that she does not have to suffer from this disease anymore. It's an awful one that they do not know much about it yet. It was very hard to take care of her since she is such a large dog. It was so sad to see her waist away like she did.

"Rest in peace beautiful girl we love you and miss you!"

She used to sit under this tree and wait for us to come home. Then as we approched the front door we would hear her dog door slam as she headed in the house to the front door to greet us. Always a big drool of a kiss. LOL

Molly always loved to come to the beach with us. Here's a few pics of her at the Outer Banks.

Her first birthday party. March 25, 2003.

Molly was such a sweet dog, she used to share her bed with her brother Elvis.

My how we miss her. She would have been ten years old in March. She did live a long life for a Newfoundland but not long enough for us. It was so hard to let her go. She will be missed.

Thank you all for taking the time to read my post.

Hugs to you all, Shirl

Oh super big hugs to you!!! Being a dog person I know you are just lost. I lost my first dog that was mine, almost two years ago and it was so hard to fill that real empty space they leave. I had two other dogs at the time and went a year with just one now we are back to two but it still is never quite the same without them. I just don't know how people live without one :) This is a very sweet post. I hope your Saturday is a nice one. My blog was stolen by a company that wanted me to pay them for use of it so I deleted pupylov and started pupylov memories. I hope you will stop by when you get a chance. www.pupylovmemories.blogspot.com
Hugs and prayers, Lisa

Oh Shirl I am so sorry for your loss truly. My sweet miniture poodle of 17 years passed away 7 months ago so I know the loss. They give us so much but in return we give them the same. You were so blessed by having this creature of God sent to your family. Such beautiful memories. My little guy was in pain also, I felt such relief when he passed. It will take time, his pictures are so cute. Sweet memories to you and your family. Hugs, Pearl

Dear Shirl, I know your heart will ache for Molly for years to come. We always do, don't we. I would like to learn more of this disease when you have time to email me. I'm wondering if it is similar to what we are going thru with Sissy? Thanks for sharing your pics of precious Molly with us ~ I especially love her wearing her party hat on her bday! And thanks for sharing your loving heart with her!! Love you.
