Pink Saturday & Hello From Cape Hatteras

Hello and welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet The Sound. Please click on pics to get a good look!

We are still enjoying our time at Cape Hatteras Island. Look how pretty the sunset was last evening. I posted a few pics in a previous post if you would like to look.

Now today, another story, Hannah is headed in and the sky is dark. The realtor stopped by and said their has not been an evacuation notice so we can stay and should be just fine. They had a service man stop by to secure the kayaks, hot tub and a few things with the pool. The neighbor who lives here year round stopped over to say that she will check up on us after work. She said that if the water runs out of the bay it will rush back in and flood. So if we see water run out take our truck up the road to higher land to keep it from flooding. That was so nice of her to advise us, we would not have known what it meant. She also said if we flood not to walk in the water because snakes could be in it. Very sweet of her again, we would not have known that either.

Now on to some pinkness. Look how sweet this tote is, I got it at a little gift store by the ferry the first day we got here.

This little tote only has a little pink but I thought it was so cute and just had to share it with you!

A pretty little glittered star fish and a faux snow globe with pink bottle brush trees.

Some pretty pink on my nightstand in my room. I love to have all my pretty vintage linens and sachets close by!

A few closeups.

Thank you for stopping by and I will be posting some vacation pics and a Tea Party hosted by Jan & Tom on Sunday. Stop back if you have time.
Blessings, Shirl

Good morning Shirley, you are always my first pink Saturday post to enjoy. Working full time, only a life or death emergency gets me out of the house early on Saturdays. It is my morning to have my coffee, look at favorite blogs and piddle. Love that pink tote! It is adorable. How sweet that you take some of your pretty linens and sachets to have around you on your vacation. I love them all and especially the pink/white crochet. It looks like a little crochet dress? I need to pick up my crochet hooks again.
That was so kind of the next door lady to give you the storm advice. Sorry to have written a small book here. Enjoy your vacation! Looking forward to your tea party post.

Happy Pink Saturday, Shirl.

We are getting Hanna right now. It has been raining here for hours. I am sitting here looking out the window now. The bushes in our rose garden are swaying in the wind. I hope all of the large trees remain in an upright position.

Love your new tote bags, and I like that you take some of your things with you. It is important to surround ourselves with things we love.
