PINK SATURDAY

Hello and welcome to another Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound.

My sweet Angel, no pink here but she was so sweet sleeping while I was trying to decorate for fall. Just had to share this with you! Shhhh don't wake her!

I thought I'd show you my two favorite vintage hankies and of course they are pink!
The first is the one I carried when my daughter Jen got married. It was a plain pretty vintage hankie then I cross stitched the rose on it. The stitches are so tiny it was about a 50 thread count fabric. THe lace is so elegant!

This hankie has the pink rose that I love but put some blue with it and I'm in heaven! I just love these colors together!

Now how sweet is this fabric? It's a donation to Stitches of Love. I'm going to make little preemie blankets with a crochet edge on it for our local hospital.
This sweet little relish tray was painted by my daughter Jen of Jen's Petal Palace.

I still have some vacation pics from the Outer Banks to show you all, I'll just put some out here and there. Since theirs pink in these I thought I would post them today.
Look how cute this little row of cottages is.

Close up of the pink one.

Some pretty rental cottages, these are ocean front homes. The ocean is behind the houses. Most of these homes have the reversed living plan, the living rooms and kitchen are on the top floor and have beautiful walls of windows on the ocean side. I always say I'd love to rent one at christmas and have a tree in front of the windows and all my family there, fireplace lit, turkey in the oven. Pies cooling. Oh my I can dream!
Close up of the pink one! So pretty!

I just picked these today, we getting some cold nights now so I don't think I'll have these pretty flowers much longer!

A close up, I like to use herbs in my flower arrangements. Not only are they pretty but they have a wonderful scent.

Well that's it for another Pink Saturday, I hope you enjoyed, it was so nice to have you visit!
Blessings, Shirl

Awwww, what a sweet kitty sleeping in the basket!
The hankies are so pretty -- I'm impressed by those who can do such intricate work -- I can cross stitch, but don't know that I'd attempt 50-count!! It certainly is lovely though!

Shirl, I love your pinkie posts. My favorite is the row of pretty colored cottages. What a beautiful picture. That would make a great picture in a shore cottage. Wouldn't it. Love it. Hugs, Ellen

Thank you all so much for your sweet comments.
she'ssopretty and melony the OuterBanks is in NC. It's on an island that jets out off the coast of NC. These little cottages are on Hatteras Island the furtherst point in the Outer Banks. The movie Nights In Rodanthe was just filmed there. I think it's the most beautiful place in the US.

Your hankies are lovely! I love to do cross stitch and counted cross stitch, but I don't think I could work with a 50 count! However did you do it? I tried working on a locket once, I think the thread count was something like that, and it was silk material, I had to give it up, it was just too small. It's a shame because it was so pretty!

I LOVE those little *pink* cottages, so sweet!!!

Have a lovely week!
Margie

I would definately put that in my sewing studio (When its done). You'll have to send me a copy of the pic via email. I can have my dad print it out for me. He has photography software.
