PINK SATURDAY & TEA PARTY

Hello and welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound. The picture above is of some new things, in pink of course, that I made for my selling blog. You can go here to Shirls Velvet Attic to see all the pretty treasures.

Below is a pic of a ribbon embroidered lavender sleep pillow done on a crisp Irish linen with openwork on the edge.

A close up of embroidery.

Next I made some satin strawberries is two sizes, the large one has some fresh lavender inside.

I have two pincushions that I made years and years ago. The basket of ribbon work roses was one of my first attempts at ribbon emboridery. The little cross stitch pincushion I made back in the 80's when I had a cross stitch shop in NJ.

This little tea kettle I bought several years ago on ebay. I added the flowers of pink carnations and lily of the valley. Two flowers that I love.

That's it for Pink Saturday, Thank you Beverly for hosting this fun event.
Jan & Tom are hosting a Tea Party today. You can go to their blog here and get a list of all the other tea parties!

The leaves are fading fast here in WV, starting to look a bit like winter here.

Today I thought I would have my tea party in my kitchen with a Thanksgiving theme. All my other tea parties this year have been out on my front porch so this will be a little different.

I'm using my Blue Danube china this time, with a fall tea set.

I love this little tea set, it's not a fancy china pattern but "oh so sweet"! I found this in one of my favorite places to shop, Cracker Barrel. We don't have one close by us here in WV but when we travel hubby knows meal time on the road will be at a Cracker Barrel. Food is great and they have the cutest gift items. I always have my birthday gift list in my purse when shopping there and always come out with something cute a different that I'm happy to give.

One of my favorite cross stitched pieces that I've done. It was also one of my first that I did in counted cross stitch. I started out doing the old stamped cross stitch when I was 7 years old.

We are having Earl Gray Tea, Boston Creme donuts, Brodeaux Pepperidge Farm Cookies, and some Lindt Lindor White Chocolate Truffles. Sound good?

Of course Holly Hobbie had to attend!

A pilgrim tea cozy attended too!

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my little Tea Party and Pink Saturday.

Right now it is more of a mess than pretty. And I am hosting Thanksgiving. Aacckk!! I've been working on the decluttering today. But had to take a break and browse a few blogs. I am so glad I did. First of all Shirl, you are really teasing me with that embroidered girl holding the umbrella in the background of so many pics, I love her!

I also LOVE your ribbon embroidery. Esp. how you put the baskets or other ornamental things on to *hold* the bouquets.

I enjoyed seeing your x-stitch work and reading about your stamped work at 7 years old.

Lovely pink Saturdays, Rose Wednesdays, and autumn decor.
