Christmas Part 2 & Christmas Delights

Hello and welcome to "Christmas Delights" hosted by Deena of Can I Be Pretty in Pink. Please visit her blog go get a link to the other participants.

First I would like to wish my dear sweet friend Steph at Angelic Accents a very Happy Birthday! If you have time stop by to see her and tell her I sent you to wish her a Happy Birthday. Her blog is just beautiful, you won't be sorry!

The pic pic above is an arrangement I made yesterday when my husband and I decorated the front porch with fresh evergreens right from our farm and roses. When I worked in the flower shop I used to buy real roses for my decorating and put them in water tubes to keep them fresh. Now that I can't get them at wholesale cost I use silks. The evergreens are cypress and pine.

We are still decorating the porch but I'm putting up a few pics now, more will be posted later in the week.

I wish I could say the wreath was fresh but it's not. Maybe next year if we get an earlier start we can get some fresh wreaths made.
I love this little wreath below, I got it back when we bought our first little farm in NJ. If you click on the pic to enlarge you can get a better look.

This little snow globe sets right on my table to look at while I have my morning tea. I always took it to work with me and had it at my teller station at the bank. It made me so happy to look at it. Now I can enjoy it at home everyday during the holidays.

The next two are also favorites of mine. I saw them in Danbury Mint catalog and just had to get them. If you click on the picture to enlarge it you will be able to read the words. I thought they were so simple but said so much.

My nativity set is very old and chipped up so I am in the process of painting it pink and white to put in my bedroom. I hope to have it done this year to show you. For now I enjoy these two.

Look how sweet this little stove is from Hallmark. It has a little scented disk of sugar cookies and lights up if you put it on the tree. I like it so much I have it setting in the kitchen.

In this closeup you can see the cookies in the oven, look at the cute little salt and pepper shaker on the top of the stove. Just so sweet!!!!!

Some of my christmas decorating from my the kitchen. I love my Gooseberry Patch bowls and cookbook, also some of my cross stitch.

Cute little personalized pot holders from Lillian Vernon. You can click on pic to enlarge.

Adorable old-fashioned mica snowmen from The Country House.

I cross stitched this little ice skater because she reminded me of my Mom. Her and my Dad used to ice skate back in the 40's in center city Phila. Back in the "good old days".

I thought I would show you some of my collections. I love Holly Hobbie and my partents used to buy my sister and I one of these every Christmas. Shown here are all the Christmas ones. I usually decorate with them so you have probably seen other holidays and seasons that I have had out.

The next collection is Cherished Teddies, my son has been buying me these for the past ten years, I've got quite a collection of them now. Below pics are my Christmas ones.

Another little bear from my son.

Here's my tree that's in my kitchen, my last post has my bedroom pink tree be sure to take a look. I've done this one in vintage crochet potholders. My collection is still growing.

Some more Christmas in my kitchen. My sister's grandson is in the little pic, I had stuck it there when it came in the mial. LOL I need to pic up a little frame for it.

Well that's it for this post. If you have time scroll down and look at my last post to see my pink Christmas tree. I'll have more posts going up all week so be sure to stop back. Were still decorating and have lots to share with you!
Thank you so much for visiting!
Blessings, Shirl

Thanks so much for sharing your pretties! I LOVE your front porch. I've always wanted to be able to go out in my yard and cut my own fresh greens. Unfortunately we don't have any in our yard - do ya think the neighbors would care???

Shirl,

I've got to give it to you girl, you did some amazing decorating. I didn't do hardly any this year. I'm not sure what's wrong with me. I am so not in the mood to decorate.

I just love looking at everyone's beautiful vignettes. Thanks for sharing.
