Pink Saturday & Christmas Part 1

Hello and welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound. I'm getting a late start today because of the snow clouds blocking my satelite dish, I could not upload pics last night or this morning. Anyway this week I have for you to see my little white Christmas Tree decorated in pink and aqua. I have this little tree in my bedroom next to my computer so I can enjoy it while I'm blogging and chatting with friends on line. Our office has our main computer but I like mine in here with all the pinkness in our bedroom.

I took some closeups for you to see all the pretties. Many of the ornaments were painted by my daughter Jen of Jen's Petal Palace. Others are some I collected over the years, if they were pink or aqua ended up on this tree.

The pretty hand painted oval ornament on the left in the pic below was a gift from my friend Celeste at Celestina Marie Designs.

I couldn't find a tree skirt that liked in pink so I bought a baby blanket at Walmart. It works!
In the background is a trellis that I painted green and put all my tags and banners on.

Isn't this little angel sweet? I found her last year on ebay and fell in love!

That's it for pinkness, now on to some Christmas decorating. I have my little dresser in my foyer all decked out for the holidays. I love this fabric that I made the table cover out of. I found it in a sale bin. I was so glad no one wanted it.

This old green chair in the foyer I found last summer in Ohio Amish Country when my husband and I were vacationing. I just had to bring it home, only $25.00. Since I have sooooo many chairs hubby did not want me to get it, but how could I leave a jadeite green chair in the antique store? Not gonna happen! I love it for decorating, the cane seat needs replacing but it's fine for lightweights. LOL This vintage Christmas pillow was an ebay find and the embroidered quilt was a gift from my daughter Jen.
This cute little plum pudding candle is from Avon back in the 80's, I gave it a fresh coat of paint and of couse some glitter this week. Looks as good as new.

The little "Cup of Christmas Tea" teacup was a flea market find for $1.00 as was the two Hummel Angels, $1.00 for them also.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I will be doing a post on Monday for a blogging party hosted by Denna, her event is titled Christmas Delights. Be sure to stop by and link up and show some of your Christmas in you home.

Blessings, Shirl

Thanks for all the beautiful eye candy.
You are living in my
beautiful home state
of WV. Even tho we have been gone for 30 years
living 20 in Michigan and 10 in Ohio. WV has the best people and neighbors!
Country folks but so
kind and caring!
I miss my hometown of
the Clarksburg/Bridgeport
area. But mostly the people!

Shirl, I love EVERY area of your home. You seem to just effortlessly fit everything together so well. Your faux food, cross-stitch, collections, always amaze me & how tastefully pulled together they all are. I wish I could come help you unpack them all & couldn't we have fun placing them around?!?

Love you,
Stephanie
