PINK SATURDAY
Hello and welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound. I had lots of close up pics ready to put up of my Valentine tree but due to satelite problems I was only able to upload these two pics. If you click on them they will come up bigger than maybe you can see some of the pretty pink ornaments. My ISP is via satelite and you have to have a clear shot to the southen skies and with all the snow and ice we have been having that clear shot is gone. I went two days this week not even being able to get on line. Anyway it's supposed to be a nice day on Sunday so maybe I can upload some pinkness with my Blue Monday post. I'll give it a try.

PINK SATURDAY
Hello and welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound. If you go here you can get a list of the other participants. Thank you Beverly for hosting such a fun event.
The picture above is of a pretty charm that was a gift made by my friend Sharon of Sweet Victorian Rose. If you go to her blog there is a link that will take you to her web-site to see more of her pretty charms. She paints the sweetest tiny designs on these charms. Thank-you so much Sharon, I will always treasure this.
Next I have for you my Valentine towels. Since they are pink I thought they would be good to use for Pink Saturday.
THe next two are cross stitch ones that I had done over 20 years ago.

BLUE MONDAY
Hello and welcome to Blue Monday hosted by Sally of Smiling Sally. This is my first week to join you all in this event. Please visit Sally to see all the other participants.
Above is my first blue this week and it's is one of my silk ribbon embroidery designs, you can see my silk ribbon work on my shop in Etsy
Above I have for you my Holly Hobbie, she is all dressed in blue so I thought you would enjoy seeing her today. I thought they were all done making Holly Hobbie then the Danbury Mint came out with her in 2003. I was thrilled, they have only done one so far but I'm hoping for more! I think she is just so sweet!

Pink Saturday & Happy Birthday Jen
Hello and welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet The Sound. Please stop by and see Beverly to get a list of the other participants.
My daughter Jen of Jen's Petal Palace just celebrated her birthday on Jan. 11th and since we had a pink party I thought I would share those pictures with you this week.
Here's Jen in her pink nursery, she was about 4 months old here. We had her nursery all done up in yellow, then when I had a girl I told my husband we had to paint the nursery over again in pink. He was not to happy but finally got it done. LOL
Jen was the only granddaughter on both sides so everyone gave her pink and ruffles. My Mother in law was so happy that I had a girl that she came into the hospital with a whole box of new clothes for Jen, guess what color everything was? Pink of course with ruffles and frills!
Here's Jen and I about 5 days home from the hospital. I was visiting my parents and my Dad took this pic.
Here's Jen and I before her nursery got painted pink. I think she was only a week or two old here.
Here's Jen 37 years later. Happy Birthday Jen. I love you!!!!!
We had a nice little dinner party with the family. The next few pics are of Jen opening her gifts.

PINK SATURDAY
Hello and welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound. Our group has grown so much over the year, it's so nice to have every Saturday to look forward to all this pinkness. Thank you so much to everyone who visits my blog and leaves such a nice comment. I'm hoping to have more blogging time and will be able to visit more blogs in 2009.
The picture above is of a pink lemonade cake that I made for company on Friday night.
Such an easy cake to make, just take a white cake mix for the liquid called for in the cake mix, use the juice and pulp of two lemons then add water to equal the amount of liquid the mix calls for. For the frosting I use 3 sticks of light margerine, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 lb. conf. sugar and the juice of 1/2 lemon, 1/4 tsp of pink lemonade Crystal Light powder and pink food color to liking. Beat for about 10 till light and fluffy, frost cake and enjoy.

TEA PARTY WITH JAN & TOM
Hello and welcome to my Christmas Tea Parties hosted by Jan & Tom Rose Haven. Go to their blog and you can get a list of participants. Thank you so much Jan and Tom for hosting this fun event.
I had two tea parties over the holidays so I thought I would share them with you. Angel above stopped by to wish you a nice day!
My first tea party is just a collection of all my "Old~fashioned Teatime" accesories.
I'll just let you scroll through and enjoy all the pretty pictures. Feel free to click on the pictures to get a nice big view! I don't have a formal dining room, we gave that up when we became empty nesters. We use that room now as a family room which joins this country farmhouse kitchen. Now the upstairs is just used for guest bedrooms and my sewing room.
An old~fashioned tea set.
Hollie Hobby has joined us today.
We sat, chatted and looked for some good recipes in my Gooseberry Patch cookbooks.
A pretty round robin book that some friends and I put together during the holidays.
In my last Pink Saturday post I told you that I would let you see what all the pretties were in my christmas gift from my daughter Jen of Jen's Petal Palace. The top is just a peek of what's inside.
Just look at all these faux pasteries that Jen has made for me! Thank you so much Jen, I just love each and everyone!
That's it for my "Old Fashioned Christmas Tea". Now on to my "Blue Snowman Tea".
A collection of all things blue and snowmen.
The photo did not capture it but the snowman plates are 3-D. The snowmans nose sticks out, they are just so darn cute!
Some yummy pasteries and a selection of hot cocoa.
A few accesories and a pretty snowman box for a gift exchange.
One more thing I had to share with you from my Christmas decorating this year. I just love this shelf, I have had it since I first got married back in 1971. When my husband and I got married this colonial dark pine was the big thing to decorate with. I just love how my jadeite looks on it. My little hoosier to the right is still waiting for me to refinish it. Maybe this winter I will get to it. LOL
Here's Angel telling you good-bye and have a wonderful day! Enjoy the rest of the Tea Parties with Jan & Tom!

This cute little snowman teaset my daughter Jen bought for me when she was working in a florist shop a few years back. I just love it, thank you Jen!
