I've taken Beverly's challenge and went to visit a Pink Saturday Blog that I have not been to before. This week I went to Rosebud Quilter, she has a really cute blog and makes the prettiest quilts.
Today for my pinkness I want to show you the gift I received in the mail this week from Deb at Garage Sale Gal. In the above pic you can see that Deb wrapped my cute gift in a vintage pink hankie with a pretty handmade card. Inside were these pretty cards.
Mary E. is my favorite so I just loved this pretty card that Deb made for me.
Some very pretty note cards, vintage and new. Thank you so much Deb! This was so sweet of you!
I've started to decorate for fall so I thought I'd show you some pics. I love the fall and love to decorate for it. I have three themes that I use in the fall, first is my "back to school" items. Then I use a Halloween theme, then on to a Thanksgiving theme.
My old green chair again, I love the look of it with anything.

A few close ups.
I cross stitched this cute little back to school teapot last year and finally got it made into a little pillow.
I did the cross stitch for this years ago and had it in a frame, I decided to make it into a tote bag.

The little saying on it reminded me of when my sister went to school. We were living in Newfoundland at the time. I really missed her and waited by the window for her to come home.
On the back of the tote I used a vintage lace from my friend Pat's collection that she had sent to me before she passed away.

Look how cute she is. Her dress is a chalk board and her umbrella is the eraser.
My husband bought me this litte teacher plaque when we were on vacation this summer. Not really why I teach but I do love summers off!
Fall has hit West Virginia this week, the air has turned cool and crisp. I love this time of year. The leaves are so pretty and the air smells so fresh. I have a weekend planned of reading my new magazines and planting some bulbs for next spring's bloom. I was thrilled to find a new issue of Country Victorian at Walmart, this is my favorite magazine. They used to publish it four times a years but this past year they seem to be only publishing it once or twice.

The air is cooler, the days are shorter, winter is on its way. From now until April of next year I will have to rely on Pink Saturday for my pink fix!

Wishing you a wonderful weekend filled with the love of family and good friends.
Such great cards from Deb! And oh, how I love seeing your entry hall ~ you have the BEST decorations for EVERY season! I could just sit in that green chair and soak up all the prettiness in that one area alone for hours! Love the tote you made with your cross-stitch!

You put all of us to shame, as you are always on time with your decorating! How do you do it? Great cards. I know you will have lots of ideas for them! Don't think I'll get in any bulbs this fall. Last year mine were all flooded out. Fall is beautiful around here. We still have flowers blooming!
Hi Shirl, Oh I love everything in your post. The sweet little card gifts are wonderful. What a talented gal your friend Deb is.
Love your fall decor too. That chair is the perfect backdrop for all decor. I love it. Reminds me of my pink one that was my grandmother's dining room chair for the early 1900's.
All your cross stitch is beautiful and I love how you use them in different ways. The sweet teacher gift from your hubby is a darling treasure. I have never seen a chalk board skirt. What a great idea.
All the magazines you show are among my favorites. I just adore them and the wonderful inspiration they give.
Miss Beazy was blessed at church last weekend for the Blessing of the Animals. She was good and I was glad!! L~~ It was outside in the the prayer garden.
Have a great day.
Blessings to you.

I love the way you show cross stitching projects all over your house. Do you cross stitch? I used to but have not done any in a while. I have a MLI birth sampler pattern I may complete for the birth of my nephew's baby. I started it many moons ago (at least 11 years back). It was for another baby then :)
Since we really don't get Fall in Florida, I've enjoyed your pictures and talk of it.
