PINK SATURDAY APRIL 9, 2011

Hello and welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound. If you go to visit her you can get a list of all the other participants. Today I have some pincushions that I've made this past week. The first one is a cute little bunny that I picked up at a Flea Market. First I gave her a bath, then I made her a little cross stitch heart and gave her some bows and roses. She's just as cute as can be now! Love her! A few close ups.

Next I have a cute little pincushion and needlecase that I made my Sister for her birthday. I found these cute little vintage ballerina's at a Flea Market and since they were too small for my faux fabric cake boxes I thought they would be cute for a pincushion.
My sister should love this! She is a seamstress, she alters vintage lace gowns for young girls to wear to their high school graduation. Maybe next week I'll post some pics of her gowns. Click here for her web site. Then click on vintage dresses. Just beautiful!

Next I have two yellow and pink pincushions that I made from some old quilted fabric pieces that I made years ago.

A few close ups.

The back.

Thank you so much for stopping by, it was so nice to visit with you. Thank you all so much for your kind remarks and prayers for me during my illness. I'm doing good, enjoying life!

Have a wonderful week! Shirl

Your pin cushions are very sweet. I saw on your post below that you have the blue Paula Deen pans. I have the huge blue stockpot and was cooking soup in it earlier tonight. I heard a couple weird noises coming from the pan, like a cracking noise. All of a sudden blue enamel shattered on the bottom of the pan and splintered everywhere. I am so hoping this was just a bad pan and not something with the entire line. I LOVE that pan. Soup just taste better when it's in a Robin's Egg blue stockpot : ) I hope you and your family are doing well.
Hugs,
Kathy

Those pin cushions are adorable. I would not want to use them. I would just sit them around and look at them. Nice job.

Good morning Shirley, those pincushions are all cute as can be. Love the little bunny and the pinkeep. Do you add beads to your pins? I am always seeing these cute and pretty pins in pin cushions. I think I need a trip to the bead section of Michael's or Jo-Ann's so I can have some of those. I am still crocheting. I saw your post on FB of sitting on your porch. It is always decorated so pretty, must be a real joy to sit there and enjoy the birds and wildlife. Have a wonderful weekend!
