PINK SATURDAY NOV. 26, 2011

Hello and welcome to another Pink Saturday hosted by our sweet Beverly of How Sweet the Sound.
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Mine was fabulous. My children and grandsons came for dinner. Our grandson (our sailor) is home on a four day leave. It's so nice to have him and our son Bob home this year for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Last year my son was in Afghanistan so this year is really great for us.

This pretty little candle holder below I picked up at our local thrift store for a quarter. It's so pretty I was thrilled with this find!

It seems hard to believe it's just a month away from Christmas. I've already started getting my Christmas boxes out. Everyday I'll put a few more things out. I'm not going to put our big tree up again this year our newest dog is still a little puppy crazy and I know if the cats knock an ornament off she will think it's hers. If the cats knock down a book or magazine Lady thinks it's fair game and rips them up. A real bummer because I love my books! LOL
Thank you so much for stopping by, it was really nice to visit with you. Have a wonderful week.
Hugs, Shirl

So happy to hear that you all had such a nice Thanksgiving! Love your new little candle stick and love the price, too! I'm with you ~ still debating whether to even put up the big tree or not!

Good morning Shirley.
Your candle in the window is just beautiful, the entire vignette, with the lace curtains, the embroidered piece, the greenery, flowers and ornaments, all together casting a soft little light. That candle holder is so pretty, what a deal. I am not putting up our big tree this year either. I need to find a skinny tree. I may be putting up our small one if I can't find the elusive skinny one.

I really like that little candle holder. I have most of my shopping done. I have very few decorations as no one sees them except me.

Hi, Shirl! How nice to have your loved ones around you this time of year. Certainly one of the biggest things to be thankful for.

Your candlestick holder is absolutely beautiful!! Where do you thrift? A quarter?! Something like that around these parts would be 3.99-4.99 in our thrift stores.

Have a happy Pink Saturday,
Marianne

Happy Pink Saturday. And, what a wonderful Thanksgiving you had with your son and grandson home. Please give your military guys my thanks and a hug.
The handle on that candle holder is neat. Pretty find!
I read your profile, you live on a 250 acre farm w/your kids housed nearby, that's awesome. Well, gotta run. Thanks, hugs to ya! Jenn

Who said a quarter doesn't buy much these days? You definitely found a sweet treasure there!
