A VERY CHRISTMAS PINK SATURDAY, DEC 10, 2011

Hello and welcome to A Christmas Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound. I've been a busy bee the past few weeks. I just don't know where the time goes and I only work part time, can't imagine how I would get things done if I worked full time. Anyway I'm still taking care of my two aging pups and they sure do take up my time. We're trying to get the house repairs and painting done before we retire. I painted my office/library over Thanksgiving break now I just have to make a few things then I'll post pics of it. I'm so happy to have all my books in one room. I've done a little Christmas decorating above is a pic from my kitchen. Don't mind my header being over to one side, don't know how to fix it either. If you can help I'd appreciate it. I welcome ideas. I'd like to have a big pic as my header but don't know how to do that.

First I have some cards that I made at a Stampin Up Party.

I love the Victorian Cabin on this one and the glitter on the stocking is so cute.

Below is a cute little gift card holder that I got on my travels this summer. I love wool applique.

Below is my newest Gooseberry Patch Cookbook. Love these books!

My sweet Angel on Thanksgiving, we did not cook her for dinner, honest!!!! I set the turkey roasting pan on the table while I was making the stuffing and she found a cozy place to sleep. I washed it really good!!! LOL

I'm lovin my two December calenders and thought I'd share with you all.

Gooseberry Patch is adorable this month! I buy this calender every year, then scrapbook with the old ones.

I plan on spending the weekend decorating so I will have more pics to post next week. Thank you so much for stopping by it was so nice to visit with you.

Hugs, Shirl

Glad your son is safely home. Love your beautiful card creations, Shirl. We, too, are busy finishing up our house projects .... but he continues to retire & consult.
Merry Christmas

What wonderful cards! You did an amazing job! They are super! The cat is so fun! Somewhere, I have a photo of a cat of ours sleeping curled up in a huge pottery dough bowl I used yo have on the kitchen table. They are so funny! Gooseberry Patch books are fun, aren't they? Happy PS!

Beautiful pictures as always Shirley. The kitty in the pan is so cute! Just like a kitty cat! That's a great idea to scrapbook with the old calendar. I will remember that. I am working on a surprise anniversary album for a much loved cousin but finding it very difficult to get pictures without asking her...but I am not giving up. I have enlisted all cousins to dig for photos so I can copy them. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Hello again Shirley.
If you try the crocheted roses, I would love to see them. If you follow my link to Anita's blog, you will see her beautiful roses and she shares a link to the pdf file and a diagram but it is all in German. I googled international crochet symbols and could decipher everything on the diagram but the bold marks. I don't know what they mean. I also typed in some of the words in the directions that are in German and it translated cast on which is a knitting term so.....I just can't seem to translate the directions. Frustrating!! You should look at Anita's blog. She makes the prettiest things. I looked thru her archives. Pretty things and pretty photography. Thanks for you sweet comment and I do hope your dogs are doing ok. Hugs to you!
