A PINK VALENTINES DAY SATURDAY, FEB. 11, 2012

Hello and welcome to a Valentine Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound. I am also linking up with The Tablescaper for Seasonal Sunday. Thank you for the invite to join! I'm sorry to be have been away for so long, it's been one thing after another since our sweet Molly died. I fell and hurt my knee, x-ray showed nothing broken but I was in alot of pain. Also having a problem with hives, not sure what's causing that, I'm starting to think stress so far no meds are working to releave this. We lost Molly and also our little Golden Girl is fifteen years old and she's going down hill fast. It's been alot of work taking care of her and seeing her fail so fast is stressful.

Anyway I'm sorry to sound so down, I'm not usually like this. I've managed to get my house decorated for Valentine's Day. I hope you like all my pinkness that I have to share this week. First I have my pink tree in my foyer.

Love my old green chair. I'm thinking about painting some furniture in my upstairs setting room in this color. I have some odd pieces that are different in style and time period so I thought maybe I could tie them together in the same color paint. I'll be sure to post pics if I decide to do that.

Below is a cute little paper craft that friends and I got together and made.

Next I have a cute little ornament that I made for the tree this year. Ed and I just celebrated our 41st anniversary. The pics I used to make this were taken back when we met in spring of 1970.

Next are some faux cupcakes that I made with some friends on one of our crafting nights.

A few closeups.

Were under a winter storm watch and the snow already started flying. Three great magazines arrived in the mail today so I'm planning a cozy weekend at home by the fire reading and crafting!

I love this little card with the chicks, I'm going to try and find that stamp and make that one!

Well that's it for my pink this week, thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Hugs, Shirl

First I am so, so sorry to hear about your sweet Molly. She was so beautiful and I know she was a joy to you. She left you many memories to enjoy.

Sorry to hear that you fell and hurt your leg, but thankful that nothing was broken. Take it easy sweet friend.

Your home is so decorated with Valentines Day decor. It is so beautiful as always. I love your tree most of all. I put mine away and see now that I should have kept it out and used it year round. Love all the cupids.

Thank you for sharing sweetie. I will be keeping you in my prayers. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

SO very sorry that you haven't been feeling up to par. Our lil sick ones can really give us stress. But they give us sooo much love, too. I pray that both you and your sweet baby feel better. Sis is doing some better. I always have better days when she does! :0)

Hope your Valentine's Day is extra special, just like YOU are!

Hi Shirl,
Happy Valentine's day. I so hope you are feeling better soon. I do think stress has a lot to do with the hives .
Your pink tree is gorgeous and I love your cupcakes. I have always loved your green chair. It looks very much like the one I have that was my grandmas last dining chair from the 20s.
I will keep you in my prayers to feel better soon. Take good care. Love to you. Celestina Marie

Loosing pets that we have had for years is a very stressful thing to go through, then when you have to doctor one its double duty. My friend had a friend that passsed away and asked if his friend would keep them forever and he said yes. He already had two of his own. So three more dogs moved in with him! They were all resque animals and they bought them all at the same time. He has lost three of them in 1 1/2 years and it has taken a toll on him. They are part of our family! I'll say a prayer for you and family, your Valentines Day looks wonderful. Be careful and warm. Hugs, Pearl
