PINK SATURDAY

Hello and welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound. Thank you Beverly for hosting this event, it has been so much fun showing off our pinkness!!!

First I want to say that I'm sorry for not visiting any Pink Saturday's last week, I have been so sick with a cough and cold, I went to the Dr. and he put me on four meds. It was really a bad one! I started feeling a little better then my puter went and got sick. Turns out a little virus found it's way in. I had to get help from McAfee to clean it up, the first tech help I got could not clean it up. He sent me to another tech help that would remotely control my puter all the way from India. He fixed it up in five mins., wish I could have gotten better that quick.

The meds are helping my cough and cold but the fouth med he gave me was for vertigo. That has not helped at all, I've had it for a month now, in talking with people I'm finding it common in alot of us gals. It's the most annoying thing to have. Any helpful tips out there from anyone on this?

Well enough of that, now on to some pinkness! Since I was not up and taking pics this week I'm just using some out of my files. Hopefully I've not showed them to you before. The little card at the beginning of this post was from and dear friend of mine. I think it's just the sweetest! I'd love to have a chair just like it!
Below is a little hand towel that I cross stitched years ago.

A close up.

I collect vintage embroidered comb & brush dresser scarfs, this is one of my favorites.

I have a friend that loves these bright colors, I made her these fun pillowcases for her birthday last year. They are really neat, they are called "magic pillowcases" the seams are all hidden.

A pretty little birthday card that I made for my PRH sister Rhea last week.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed spending time with me.
Blessings, Shirl

Good morning Shirley,
I do hope this morning you are feeling much better. The little bluebirds are so cute. What a talent you have for cross stitch. I enjoy seeing all your pieces. The vertigo is terrible. My hubby has that. His ENT ran lots of tests and determined he had contacted a virus that settled in his ear. His immune system normally keeps it under control but when he is sick, really tired or stressed, it acts up. He has a med to take. It helps but not completely. It has improved over time and he doesn't get episodes nearly as often now. Sorry so long....loved your pinkness as always. Have a wonderful weekend and take good care of yourself!
Be well and God Bless! Mary

Because of router and modem problems I'm late making the ro und on PS also, sweetpea!! But those pillowcases are beyond beautiful!!! They're exquisite!!!! Oh my how I'd love to have some like that. I love embroidering pillow cases also and have many but I just might do more since I'm running out with them getting old and threadbare. Those are truly gorgeous though.

Hope you're feeling much better by now, it's never fun taking all those meds at the same time (I'm married to a pharmacist;-)

Love both of your last 2 Pink Saturday posts. The painted tea kettle from a couple weeks ago is SO pretty. In this week's post, I really like the double layer of (different) eyelet trim on your tea towel. I collect comb/brush/mirror dresser sets, and also vintage linens, but have never seen an embroidered comb & brush runner before. Maybe they weren't trendy here on the west coast?

Please stop by my site to pick up a free copy of my new cookbook: Finish The Feast ~ Leftover Turkey Recipes They'll Want to Eat. It's suitable for printing and giving as a holiday gift, and is filled with yummy things to do with all that turkey :o)
