HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hello and Happy New Year!
I chose the vintage postcard above because this is just what it looks like today in WV. We woke up to a snowy cold 13 degrees.
I went to church this morning then came home to watch the Rose Parade, it was beautiful. I look forward to that every year. I'm going to stay in the rest of the day and do some embroidery. It's to cold to plan anything outside!
I wish all my blogging friends health, happiness and may all your dreams come true in 2009!

The postcard below reminds me of my parents, they used to ice skate in down town Phila when they were dating before WWII.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I'll be back with a Pink Saturday post.
Happy New Year, Shirl

Happy New Year, Shirl! It is definitely brrrrrrr this morning, isn't it! By this afternoon we are having sun which is so pretty shining on the snow. Very sparkly! I wanted to get some sewing done today, but think I am catching the cold that my brother, sister and brother-in-law had over the weekend while we were down in Webster Springs....Arrrgh. So I have just lazed around under my favorite cuddly quilt. Stay warm, my friend! Becky

oh how you would enjoy seeing the floats up close...It is just amazing...they let you go see them after the parade..in a park, so you can get right up there and touch them. Laurie
