Hello and welcome to Blue Monday hosted my Smiling Sally. If you go here to her blog you can get a list of all the other participants.
Today I have part two of my Americana Bath. If you did not get here last Monday then, if you'd like, scroll down and take a look at the pics you missed. Please feel free click on the pic if you would like to see a larger view.
I'm showing you some closeups this week. I had a few people ask if the room was big. Yes it is for a bath that is. It's 14 x 18, it was supposed to be a small bedroom according to the house plans but we decided we did not need another bedroom being empty nesters and just made it into a large bathroom.
This shelf below has my collection of Brandywine Collectible Houses. I'll show you closeups of them next week in my last part of this room.
This pretty Thomas Kincade lamp was a gift from a lifelong friend. She saw it in the Bradford Exchange catalog and had it sent to me knowing how much I love Thomas Kincade art.
A closeup of the lamp with a pretty little cottage and stream.
Another cute cross stitch.
A closeup of a Betsy Ross vintage embroidered piece that I picked up in an antique mall in NJ. I've always loved Betsy Ross, I guess because I love to sew so much!
Close up of a wreath I made using a Brandywine House.
Another closeup of cross stitch and some glitter words.
I used some little crocks to hold Q-tips and emery boards. My husband brought that antique crate home and I use it as a shelf.
Some closups of that cute little shelf that my husband built for my stuff!!!!
A friend painted the God Bless America sign. She died of a brain tumor about 16 years ago. She had painted so many things for me and I will never part with them.

Shirl,
Your bath belongs in a magazine!!! It is truly a wonderful collection of Americana! I knew it had to be big, but the size of a small bedroom~no wonder you were able to fill it up!! Some of my favorites are the crosstitch, because I love to do needlework and I know how much time goes in to one little piece, so... it MUST be appreciaated!! I am also a fan of Thomas Kincade and have an almost overflowing Christmas Village of his.
Shirl, this is out of this world. Kudo's to you on creating a masterpeice of a bath!! :-D
xoxo

Got to say that your sweet friend's painted patriotic teddy & your little cross-stitched one are awfully adorable!!

Hi Shirl,
I love part two of your bathroom. Each and every cross stitch is beautiful. I love the houses on the shelf and also the wreath with the little house and Americana ribbon. The border paper is perfect. You have every little detail perfected and I love the touch with the cotton balls and q-tips in the crocks.
You inspire me for the wall inset shelf. Let's see where can I use one of those???
Shirl you have been a very busy girl and your talents really shine through in this gorgeous bath.
You always inspire me, thank you so much for that my friend.
These pics belong in a magazine.
Have a wonderful day.
love ya, Celestina Marie
Thanks so much for your comment about my recipes. For some reason I'm thinking "food" all the time lately. Could it be my diet☺ As with anything good in life...it's better when it's shared and who better to share it with than friends...
Boy, that's a lot of red, white and blue. I still want to see more of your Newf...just too cute☺
I love all of your patriotic treasures, so special. My favorite is the Betsy Ross piece, love it. I hope you are having a good week.
