PINK SATURDAY, PEONIES & WILD ROSES

Hello and welcome to the First Year Anniversary of Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound! Thank you Beverly for hosting this fun and successful pink event. It's been so much fun sharing pink with everyone! I usually take all week long to look at all the pinkness since I don't get as much blogging time as I would like.

Today I'm sharing with you some of my flowers blooming here in WV. Right now the scent outside my doors is heavenly! The wild roses are blooming and it's the prettiest scent. When my windows are open the heavenly scent comes right through the house. We only cut about 5 acres around the house so the roses are all through the woods surrounding our home. In this pic you can see the white roses just trailing down anything they can cling too. Most farmers hate these but I love, love, love them. LOL

Next I have my peonies to show you. I adore this flower and it is a gift from God that I am so thankful for! The scent of this plant is also heavenly and I can't resist filling every room in my home with a vase of them.

I only buy the pale pink peonies but they must have been marked wrong because a few of the bushes are a darker pink.

Pretty pink peonies all over my porch in the next few pics. After enjoying them on the porch for a day they will go inside to grace my home.

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit me today. I hope that you have a wonderful week. I will be back Monday for a Porch Party with Rhondi of Rose Colored Glasses & Blue Monday with Sally of Smiling Sally.

Hi Shirl, Oh I love your pretty peonies. The pink is gorgeous. I planted a bush in my new garden in the very light pink. It already bloomed, but I think it needs the frist year to seat itself. I am giving it lots of attention.

Your wild roses are amazing. I would love those all over. Your yard and the surroundings of your home is just beautiful. I can imagine the heavenly scent of all those pretty flowers. So lush and green.
See you on Monday for the porch party. Looking forward to it again this year.
Have a wonderful weekend sweetie.
Love ya, Celestina Marie

With our little PINK SATURDAY having a birthday this week, I am on "pink overload" and that is difficult to do to me! I'm lovin' it like crazy!

What lovely pinks this week you have, my dear. The better to see your through my rose colored glasses!☺

Have a great weekend. Not all that warm up in my neck of the woods but the sun is out and that makes the day good. I hope you are surrounded by those you love and that you, too, are bathed in sunshine.

I really can't imagine why farmers would hate them, maybe there are just too hard to work around. I love the pink peonies too, and a couple of darker plants only add to the beauty, I bet your home looks wonderful inside with all the gorgeous blooms, happy pink saturday, Char

Roses and Peonies are two of my favorite flowers, if I had to pick a flower = oh my! Your cream pitcher vases are gorgeous and a perfect compliment to Mother Nature's splendor, lovely garden you have. Everything is so green here in VA too, LOTS of rain!

Love your pink peonies!! We are over-run with wild roses, too. Ours have not bloomed yet but will in a week or two and I will get to enjoy that wonderful scent, too.

Aren't we lucky to live in the "wilds"?

Oh, lucky you for being able to grow peonies! I adore them, but they don't grow where I live. Yours are gorgeous, and I think it's a stroke of luck you got a bonus dark pink one, too!

Your garden looks so wonderful and I am just imagining the scent of the roses from the woods.

Happy Pink Saturday!

Shirl I have never in my life smelled a peony. Having lived in too hot a climate for so long, they won't grow here and I just don't have a clue what their fragrance is like.

Love them in the jadeite, wow is that ever a combination made to be!

Happy One Year Pink Saturday!

Your peonies are gorgeous! Mine haven't bloomed yet, but they will be a dark pink. The ones you have are the same type my Grandpa used to have in his backyard. I'm finding all kinds of memories today by visiting your blog!
