PINK SATURDAY & What a difference a day makes! March, 18, 2011

What a difference a day makes.
Last Friday I was driving to work, all my sewing supplies in the car because I was to attend a weekend quilt retreat after work. My heart started racing, my arms and lips went numb. I started to black out, reached up and hit the On-Star Emergency button. They called an ambulance, dialed my husbands office and dialed my work. They were fabulous and I won't be without them.
I was diagnosised with A-Fib, on heart meds and blood thinners. My how your life can change in one moment.
Thankful to be alive. Meds are making me so tired, Cardiologist says I will get used to them and I won't be so tired. I'm going back to work Thursday. Hoping I can make it through the day.

I've joined facebook and would love to have you join me. Please click HERE and friend me on facebook. My user name is Shirley Wunschel Hubbs.

Thank you Beverly for hosting this fun event. If you go to visit Beverly of How Sweet the Sound you can get a list of all the other participants.

Miss you all! Hope to get back to posting regular now. Going to have to slow down a bit and take time for Shirl!!!!

Shirl,
So happy to hear that you are alright. Will they be starting you on Coumadin as a blood thinner or a Baby Aspirin a day? Any other cardiac meds? Be sure to take them as prescribed and don't skip any dosages.
Okay, that was the nurse in me talking!! LOL!!

Take care, my friend!!

Hugs,
Debbie

Goodness. what a shock! My DH has atrial fib...has had it for about 15 years...if under control is usually labeled as "nuisance" rather than worse cardio probs. Stress does make it worse, so....Chill! :)
