PINK SATURDAY & A LAST LOOK AT SUMMER

Hello and welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound. If you go to visit her blog you can get a list of all the participants.

I've taken Beverly's challenge again this week and went to a blog that I have not visited before. This week I found a cute blog with a mix of sewing, embroidery and beautiful cake decorating. Stop by and see Sheri at Prim Rose Hill Studio when you have time, a great place to visit!

This week I have a last look at summer at my cottage. A pretty cross stitch that I pulled out of my sewing basket a few weeks ago and made it into a quilted wall hanging for my laundry room door.

A few closeups.

A little heart that I made using a cute little summertime print that I bought while on vacation in NJ.
A cute little yoyo cluster in the corner.
I still have alot of flowers in bloom, they are liking this weather. Blue morning glory.
Roses are still happy.

Elephant Ear is still doing well. They are not supposed to like the sun, but mine sure do.

I bought this clematis late in the season, I was surprised that it bloomed this year.
I loved mandevilla vine and have to bring it in for the winter since our winter's are too cold for it here.

This is the rose that my son bought me for Mother's Day. It's still doing well.

My sweet Angel setting on the well making faces at Mr. Gray the Stray. She does not like him at all. He is very mean to her and chases her from her comfy spots.

My grandson's birthday was on Thursday, I made him some yummy Halloween cupcakes.

Here's the birthday boy, my handsome grandson turned 16 on Thursday.
I've picked up a few new decorations for this fall. Look how cute this glitter Boo is.
Cute little pumpkin votives.
I found this pretty little cross stitch towel at a Flea Market for a dollar, it looks good with the pumpkin pincushion my daughter Jen made for me.
I love this Halloween fabric, I found it at Walmart for $1.50 a yard. I'll make something cute for my daughter and I with it.

A cute little candy corn dish towel.

Thank you so much for stopping by! It was so nice to visit with you.
Have a great week.
Blessings, Shirl

TEA PARTY

Hello and welcome to my "Tea Party" hosted by "Jan & Tom's Place", be sure to stop by their blog to get a list of all the participates.

Come on in I was just relaxing on the lounge chair reading and do some needlework. So glad you could make it! I thought we would have tea on the porch, it's such a beautiful day today. Please feel free to click on the pics and see a larger pic.

Have a seat and I will get the tea!

The pretty journal and Bless This Nest basket came from my PRH sister Rhea from Miss Rhea's.
Have you ever had pie crust cookies? They are so light and crisp with cinnamon sugar, so yummy!

Or maybe some lemon iced sugar cookies. The pretty rose plate that the lemon cookies are on came from my sweet friend Steph of Angelic Accents. She has wonderful Flea Market Fridays.

How about a slice of chocolate cake with pretty pansies?

Maybe some nice sweet grapes?

A bears tea party done in cross stitch.

There's more room over here at the ice cream palor table.

My sister Elizabeth from Rose Hart Gifts sent me this pretty tea set. It's my favorite one!

The pretty little rose plate below I got from my sweet friend Steph from Angelic Accents.

My daughter Jen from Jen's Petal Palace painted this cake board.

I made this tea-time wreath just in time for my tea party.

Pretty pink roses, my favorite.

Now look at this silly cat, this is Bentley, he is enjoying the sunny day! He's my baby!

Let's take a walk around and see what's in bloom. This is the first year that my hydrangea bloomed. I don't have any luck with the blue one's. I have some but they don't bloom. Too cold here I guess.

I love black eyed susans and just planted some blue love in a mist with them. Hopefully next year they will bloom together.

Hosta's are just now starting to bloom. You can see their spikes shooting up.

Eventually this will be all paths and garden areas. Two seating areas one with
Adirondack chairs and another with a porch swing.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed my little tea party! Please come back again. Thank you to Jan & Tom's Place for hosting this tea party, it was fun!

Blessings, Shirl
