BLUE MONDAY

Hello and welcome to Blue Monday hosted by Sally of Smiling Sally. Thank you Sally for hosting this fun event.
Today for my blue I'd like to show you my little hall in the older part of our home. We just put a laminte floor down and I decorated in blue. I'd like to put up beadboard one day but for now I just painted a light blue.
I'm still looking for a nice big vintage scrolly shelf to hang on this wall above the table and a little antique dresser for under it. For now this will do.

There are two doors off off this hallway. The light blue paint really brightened it up. I did have it painted in a dark green before. I like this alot better.

Some closups.
This little smokers stand was my father's. He smoked a pipe and had wanted one of these for years. I can still see him putting all his pipe stuff in there. He just loved this thing. I painted it white and used it in my sewing room for years.

This lamp was a thrift store find for a quarter. We rewired it and put a lampshade on.

A closeup of the border. I saw this in Romantic Country magazine and had to track it down.
It's back to work for me today. I've enjoyed being home on Christmas break. We had snow before Christmas so our break started a few days early. We still have to have our Christmas party at school. The kids had already brought thier gifts in for their gift swap so their be excited for sure! I had to bake on Sunday for them the first batch of cookies I made for them got eaten by my grandsons. LOL If you scroll down to my previous post you can read all about my big project that I've started for the new year.

Thank you so much for stopping by, it was so nice to visit with you. Have a wonderful week!

Blessings, Shirl

Hi Shirl,
Happy New Year to you and your sweet family.
Oh I love your pretty soft blue in the hall. The floor is gorgeous. I love the sweet smokers stand. What a keepsake to have and displayed so wonderful with your pretties.

I love the pincushion heart with the turned ribbon. My grandma used to make those many years ago. I have just one small one left but it does not have the twisted ribbon. What a great treasure you have.

Thank you for stopping by and your kind words. I have so enjoyed visiting your blog this past year and look forward to many more fun visits this year. This blogging break is a real challenge!!!LOL
Have fun back to work.
See you again soon sweet friend.
Love to you, Celestina Marie
